"+++ Absolutely magnificent place with a wonderful history. The wooden features are beautiful and the bedrooms are outstanding. Wonderful snooker table and fireplaces. "A beautiful property nestled in the jungle. The views were amazing and the sounds of the rushing river were super relaxing. The rooms were big and airy. After a mic-up between the hotel and hotels.com, I was repeatedly threatened with legal action, and the hotel was in general not interested in resolving the issue - refused to pick up the phone and refused to access hotels.com. "Stayed at Adventure Base Camp for a day of river rafting which was awesome. Great facility for the area. AC worked really well. Only issues are that the lower rooms in our building had some mold on the wall (but understandable due to the high humidity in the area) and the beds were a bit uncomfortable."

"Dirty beds, bedsheets and bathroom. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody. Bathroom was leaking and dirty with spiders and spiderwebs. Room is like a jail, no windows. It was a horrible experience. I advise travellers to stay at Hatton and travel to Nallandeniya on time to clime Adam's peak."
