"I had higher expectations of this hotel based on the reviews. It is fine, dated decor, scratchy linens, and quite large, with very long walks to your room. The listing says the rooms are all soundproofed, but that isn't accurate. I had to be asked to be moved to a quiet room; my first room was quite loud from neighbour noise. I had booked a "deluxe double", which the photos showed with 2 double beds. The room I was given had 1 double and 1 single. No big deal, beyond the noise issue. Booking through hotels.com meant I was to receive a room upgrade, but this was not offered or honoured. My quiet room was a "family room" with 3 beds, which was fine. My bathroom was worn and had mold, but my biggest disappointment was the quality of the sheets and pillowcases, quite scratchy. I had been travelling for 24+ hours and just wanted to collapse into a comfortable bed for 5 hours of sleep. "

"Well decorated and well situated within Howth. Very easy to walk about. Felt quite secure with a keyed entry from street to the alley leading to appt. A few maintenance issues that once brought to mgmt’s attention, were remedied quickly."
