The only downside was the intermittant internet service despite Filippo's efforts to correct it. The problem was due to faulty incoming cable, which I hope has now been repaired. "The street looks a little scary when arriving at night but is probably safe due to enough people being out and about. The noise was somewhat abated by the shutters. Most of the staff was friendly and very helpful. The overnight desk clerk was not so nice. "10min walk to the nearest train station to get to other areas of italy such as florence and cinque terre. 15min walk to the tower of Pisa. Clean chalet, friendly & helpful staff, shop/cafe/restaurant on site. Kitchen area equipped with basics for cooking, there is no kettle,toaster, oven or microwave - just a 4 ringed gas hob which i feel could be improved more. Lots of mosquitos so ensure you pack repellant. Towels to hire. Good quality supermarket 10min walk away. I would definitely stay here...

"It was a cute place. They apparently have breakfast but couldn't find it in the morning. It may be at the residence next door. When you arrive, there is a bell by the outside gate to push and the owner will come over. "A lovely family-run hotel in a pair of magnificent buildings which are sufficiently far away from the main tourist area (but only an 8-minute walk) but not too far. Lots of excellent eating places in the area. There is much, much more to Pisa than the Duomo and Leaning Tower, and this provides an excellent place to explore the area.
