"This hotel is located across the street from the Temple and the commercial district is very walkable. Our room was located in the basement of a very quaint historic building, but it was not clear to us initially that we had to drive to another hotel to pick up the keys. But....we were able to park just outside our room, which was a plus. A/C was great. Breakfast was minimal with no hot food."

"When I arrived, the staff said my Expedia account had put me in 3 different room for the 3 nights I was staying! Aarg!!!! That was as frustrating! It happened last time I stayed at this hotel and I assumed it was as them. No, EXPEDIA!! Please never do this to me again! Luckily, they noticed it and changed it!"

"My husband and I recently enjoyed a 3-night stay at the Windmill Farmhouse. It is very cozy, comfortable and clean! It was like having two vacations in one-a wonderful, very short drive into Nauvoo during the day and then a peaceful stay in the country in the evenings. The property has wonderful backdrops outside (fields, windmill, barn, silo) that are perfect for photo-ops so don't forget to bring a tripod for your camera! Laura, the host, promptly responded to any inquiries. We will definitely stay there again!"

"The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, water pressure was good. But paint was pealing from the ceiling and walls, and the carpet was coming up in some places. Needs to be better maintained."

"The staff were great! Sara the breakfast lady was super friendly. The bathroom had wallpaper peeling off and no exhaust fan. Toilet paper was thin not the nice angel soft we had at another Hampton. Breakfast was very good, lots of options. The luggage carriers disappeared or someone was lazy and didn’t put them back where they belong."

"Our stay was just what we needed for a few days away. The view is fantastic, and the provided binoculars made it all the better. The home is clean and comfy. Although being in a more rural area, the outdoor spaces were a bit buggy and cobwebby. But that was okay for us, as we picked a time when it was 90 degrees every day, so we stayed indoors. There's lots to explore in the area, and we visited many of the small towns nearby and even drove down to Hannibal, Missouri, to see Mark Twain's home. And we went to Eldon, Iowa to see the place where Grant Wood painted American Gothic.If you want a quiet escape, this is the place for you."
