"You can tell the owners take great pride in what they are providing for their guests. The Allegory is a sweet older home turned inn. We stayed on the top floor (3rd) which is a suite with bedroom, bath, kitchenette and living space with pullout couch. They had thoughtful amenities in the bathroom and it was clean. Cute New Hampshire vibe with antiques and bear theme. Coffee and continental breakfast in kitchen is casual and help yourself. Owners are working hard on updates around the inn and it is clear they are committed to making it a great experience for their guest. Also convenient to area activities including the Cog Railway, which is a must if you’re in the area. We would definitely stay at Allegory again and highly recommend it."

"This private and beautiful place had every single thing you need for a lovely and relaxing holiday! The kitchen was amazingly outfitted for any level of cooking you might want to do--complete with abundant spices, oils, and condiments, storage options, wraps and ziploc bags, even coffee and accessories! The bathrooms were well appointed with any toiletries you might need, as well as the laundry supplies to see to fresh clean clothes. Outside beauty through windows in every space made this place quite memorable for our trip to New England! We loved the different spaces to relax and spread out--relaxing with a puzzle, book or television. Breakfast in the glassed sun room was especially lovely! The location enabled us to be in local parks within minutes and we loved the local restaurants like Yaya's and Munroe's Family Restaurant. We found the bed upstairs super comfortable! Highly recommend this place!!"

"Simply loved it! Walter and Kelly are excellent hosts. A beautiful mountain cabin in a beautiful location. The perfect place for an extended family to get away and enjoy quality family time. Three young families, including 3 small children, two grandparents and a family dog – and there was more than enough space for all. Home was meticulously maintained and well-equipped with everything you need, including great outside space for outside family fun. Center fireplace (and abundant firewood) was a big hit! Location is perfect for hiking, biking, golfing skiing and shopping. My family all loved the place, and we cannot wait to return to try a winter getaway."
