"All round excellence. Perfectly placed to explore the region. Superb hotel. The architecture of the place (and the scale) just blew us away. Trip type - Holiday Travel group - Couple Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Nearby activities: Plenty to see & do in town, and the hotel is centrally placed for drives in the beautiful coutryside (although Viseu's string of roundabouts to get to the main IC can get a bit tiresome) Safety: Our experience of everyone we have met has been great. In general, people are very kind & friendly, welcoming to strangers, with very helpful gestures - smiles and great consideration for us & our poor Portugese language skills! Walkability: Uneven cobbled pavements need more care. All we wanted to do was nearby however, and the weather [October] was absolutely perfect - slippy cobbles could be another story. Food and drinks: Fantastic local traditional food, pastries, coffee & fine wines from the region - we have enjoyed exploring regional cuisine very much. Noteworthy details The lovely lady on night reception was an absolute font of knowledge of things to do in and around Viseu - really made our visit magical. Obrigado! The parking at the hotel was reasonable and secure. Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Quiet, Great value"
