Great Pet Friendly Place

We loved our stay at this pet friendly condo. Our dog enjoyed standing on the balcony and watching passerby’s. We loved how short of a walk it was to the beach. It’s a nice quiet community and an excellent place to stay.

Nice place for a getaway.

Nice location. All the amenities I needed at the condo. Good communication with the property manager. If I make it back to Carolina Beach, this would be my first choice for a place to stay.

Great Location

This was a charming little place! Perfect for the 2 of us with room for 2 more. Had a great layout. Close to the beach. Very quiet neighborhood. Will definitely be back.

Perfect for weekend getaway

Condo was clean and management very attentive! Not a large kitchen so not ideal for cooking lots of meals, but perfect for a weekend getaway.

Great location, clean and spacious for 1 BR!

We had a great stay here and would definitely go back! We appreciated all the extra touches like lots of hooks for wet towels/bathing suits, extra coffee, multiple towel sets, board games, beach chairs, etc. It was great to have the outdoor deck space too. We were really pleased with the amount of space and the cleanliness! Would highly recommend!!

Beautiful condo

The condo was so beautiful and modern!!! We loved the comfortable bed, the two toilets and two vanities! We didn’t stay long enough to use the kitchen but I could tell it was stocked with everything we’d need! Perfect getaway for a winter beach weekend! Only disappointment was all the rocks blocking the closest beach entrance but very close to other beaches!! Highly recommend!!

Avery nice getaway

The condo was very clean. It is modern and updated. I would definitely stay again in the future. We loved the Tikki bar at the Pier only a short walk away.

Lovely place

We absolutely loved it! We brought our dogs and had a great time! I loved that they provide some toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, dish and laundry pods as well! Was awesome to not have to go buy those essentials for a long weekend stay! We would love to stay again another time!

Great Condo to Weather the Storm

My dogs and I along with a friend had a great stay even with Tropical Storm Debby coming through. Unless it was really windy, we could sit on the deck in the rain and not get wet. It was clean, close to the beach and communication was top notch!

Wonderful beach getaway

It's a perfect place for a couple and a pet. Just a few dozen steps to the beach. This is the quiet end of Carolina Beach, far from the bustle of the boardwalk, but still places to get a coffee or have drink at a tiki bar a few blocks away.

Condo was very cute! Just a walk across the street to the beach and Pier Restaurant was less than a mile. Only a short drive to boardwalk and other attractions... great location!! Host was very accommodating!! Highly recommend!

Great location

About 50 yards or so walk to the beach. No view of beach, but can hear waves. Nice area outside to sit. On the third floor. Pull out couch and queen bed is comfy. Nice large TV and internet worked fine for us. Easy parking and host communicated well.

Weekend get away

Very clean cute condo. Walking distance to many places. Labor Day weekend so beach was pretty crowded but to be expected. Street flooding was unexpected but didn’t impact us. Balcony was large and comfortable. Only improvement would have been if you could seen the beach from the balcony. Had a great time

Property is falling apart

The unit was marginally clean, there was mold around vents and in the shower. Only 2 glasses in the kitchen so be sure to bring your own drink ware. The property (building$ was in bad condition: slats from the stairwell fell on my car and shattered my windshield. Location was good but the beach is so narrow here that it’s difficult to find a space unless you set up at 7am. This was truly a disappointment.

A few small suggestions

Overall, a wonderful location and place to enjoy the NC coast. Quiet and only a short walk from the beach (you can hear the waves crashing from the balcony!). Just a few suggestions -- it would be helpful to have some instructions on how the locking device works on the door, in addition to being given the lock code. It's not super intuitive, especially how to lock up behind yourself. Also, the TV is solely streaming and it wasn't set up when I arrived. I finally figured it out but if there were some instructions put in the basket on the living room table on how the TV streaming works and how to reset if it's not working, that would be super helpful. I'd stay here again should I come back to Carolina Beach, especially now that I figured out a few of these things I mentioned!

Sulfur smell

So the overall apartment is cute, clean, and well set up, but there were 2 major things missing from description.1. When we arrived and ran a shower there was an overwhelming smell of sulfur and rotting eggs. It made our eyes water. We feared a gas leak or sewage leak. We called the owner 3 times and left messages but got no response. We spent an anxious night avoiding all water and sleeping in coats with the door open to air the place out to a breathable level of smell. In the morning she texted us that this is normal and if the hot water is run for 20 minutes and then the house aired out it goes away. We did do that and it took more like an hour but it worked. We never trusted the water enough to drink it but we did shower. I really feel we should have been told about this before arriving at a minimum.2. The beach access near the apartment is closed for erosion control. Both nearby entrances so instead of being 1 min from the beach it is 10 minutes walking down a road with no sidewalk. Other notes - its up 2 flights of stairs, tv was nice, porch was nice, neighbors upstairs were really loud, kitchen was well stocked, 85 cleaning fee and you will be asked to take out your own trash. Decor is cute. We came in early March but the beach was quiet and not crowded.

Bluebird NOT on the Beach

First of all, I will say that I should have read the comments more carefully. However, when a place is named something “on the beach”, I think oceanfront, especially when another comment says the beach is “steps away”. Apparently the locals think everything on the far end of the island is “on the beach”…or so I was told. This was a huge disappointment because the ocean is my “therapy” and the whole reason for me booking there in the first place. In addition, I was first sent an address on one street, and later I got a slightly different address which would have immediately told me that the condo was not oceanfront. I didn’t find that out till I was halfway there. Secondly, the WiFi did not work and someone had to be called in which happened the night before I left. As I was preparing for a job interview, this was considerably frustrating, as I needed to do some research and prepare some documents to present. I will say that the condo itself was very clean and nicely decorated in sort of retro fashion. It was nice to have the balcony to look out from, though an ocean view would have been preferable. Also, the property manager was fairly easy to reach and was close enough to come by and check out the internet issue. In the end, I was refunded, which I appreciated, but the experience I had hoped for was lost and made for a very frustrating visit. I have been to Carolina Beach many times before, and have never had an issue like this before. Live and learn, I guess.

It was nice, but we wish the fob to the pool would’ve worked, but we had the ocean to swim in so it wasn’t a big deal. I think the price per night for the condo was a little too much though just for the two of us….
