GO BACK IN TIME! Wonderful Authentic Historic Beach House! Bottom Floor - easy living, clean, comfortable, fully furnished and supplied with everything you need for a relaxing stay... pots, pans, dishware, etc. Boardwalk and Gathering Deck atop the dunes provide spectacular views from pier to pier! RENOVATED 2017 interior... upgraded kitchen, entirely new bathroom with tile shower, pedestal sink, new beds, furniture, etc.! And 2016 exterior... new metal roof, newly installed vinyl windows, new fiberglass doors, reconstructed decks... Updated yes, YET maintaining the historic charm such as original wood plank walls and ceilings of yesteryear! With open windows hear the surf just steps away! The strong bones of the beach house have survived five major named hurricanes over the years, yet hear the creaks of the footsteps and faint, muffled joyous laughter of other House Guests above. Even the upgraded blown-in open-cell foam insulation between floors wasn't enough to negate the wonderful sounds of this historic Beach House. Last minute trip to the Carolina beaches where my mother-in-law got to see the beach for the first t

We got a step-by-step tour of the home and all the amenities were as described. It's just close enough to the boardwalk to walk but it's far enough that you don't hear the mayhem. To walk to the beach on their private walkway is clean enough to walk around on your bare feet

The best

I will say this was the best stay anywhere. Perfect location, great host, the place was clean and awesome for me and my 2 kids. We had a blast, and can't wait to come back, going to be my go to place for Carolina Beach.

Wonderful beach location

I don’t think the location could be any better. You are right on the beach with fabulous outdoor sitting areas. Beach was quiet and not crowded. Genevieve was there to greet us and show us exactly where to park, along with a tour of the property. I would definitely stay again!

The perfect spot!

This was the perfect spot for my little family’s weekend get away! It was great to be able to walk out onto the beach with my littles whenever we felt like it! Genevieve was super friendly and helpful at check in! The place was very neat and tidy and just the right size for us! We even enjoyed the book “Good night cookies”,that was in one of the rooms, with our 4 year old at bedtime! It is also close to many restaurants, the boardwalk and aquarium! All in all a great stay and hope to be back soon!

Oceanfront Getaway

What a fabulous experience! We were greeted by the owner who is wonderful! She gave us a tour and was so accommodating. Went above and beyond sharing great places to visit. Highly recommend if you want an authentic beach feel, right at the ocean and close to everything. Will definitely visit again!!!

Beautiful spot

We loved this little spot and wished we could have stayed longer. The only things missing in the unit were some little creamers and sugar for our coffee - that would have been super helpful. Everything else was perfection! Thank you!

Gem of a place in a beautiful location!

My two kids (11 & 13) and I had a wonderful stay! The apartment was clean, thoughtfully appointed, and just as described in the listing. It was very hot when we were there (100° +), and the apartment stayed nice and cool. It’s a little thing, but there were hooks everywhere to hang stuff and I found that so helpful for staying clean/organized while there. Genevieve was very communicative and helpful. We loved having the beach in our backyard. I highly recommend and hope to return one day!

Bed bugs!

Long story short..myself and the owner found bedbugs in a chair in the living area and my daughter was asleep in the bed and after checking her i found 2 in the bed with her which i placed in a glass jar for her to show the exterminator. We could not stay due to my daughter being bitten and had to find a motel and the owner will not refund our money. I have pictures as well. Find

Quick Trip

Enjoyed the property. Genevieve is great. Location is awesome. Didn't realize there was a linen fee without more thoroughly reading entire post (as it says linens included). Wish that could be updated. Parking was tight, but managable. We got the bottom unit and had guests above us that sounded like they were coming through the ceiling, but fortunately that promptly stopped at 10pm. Dryer wasn't working and Genevieve came down immediately to take the clothes up to dry so we could leave on time. Overall good stay.

Great location!

This place is such a great location and so close to the beach. The host was so helpful and friendly and it was great to have her so close. The beds need a topper to make them more comfortable but for a weekend they are fine. The place has so many things for all the beach needs and the kitchen looked fully stocked. Loved that we didn't need to bring beach chairs. We heard the neighbors upstairs but it was pretty muffled so it was more in passing/white noise, not a major distraction (i think others complained about it - not a big deal really). Loved that thr house has multiple sized units to choose from depending on need. Definitely will be considering the others as well in the future.

The rental was as described and shown in the pictures. Rooms were pleasant and the private boardwalk for beach access was great. The hosts were pleasant and communication was good. We had to contact the hosts on day 2 of our trip due to the constant high level of noise above us on the 2nd floor. We were not able to sleep until the wee hours of the morning. The steps above were not a slight creaking of the floors - the ceiling shook and you could hear talking above. Guests above us were not making noises above the normal range, however, the age and construction of the home 100 years ago did not provide for the best sound insulation between floors. The hosts have done their best in working with contractors to provide better insulation between the floors and took the time to meet with us about the issue.

Amazing!

We loved the private, short, wooded path giving us immediate access to the beach. The rinse off station, located in the backyard, with a path to it as well, very convenient. Several beach chairs provided, made it so nice for a family that flew in.
