The Hideaway A is one side of a duplex (two sides). It can be rented as one side, or as a "whole". To rent both sides of the property, visit the property page called The Hideaway A&B. Please note, because this property is a duplex some amenities will be shared between both sides of the property.

This LUXURY property is an OCEAN FRONT Duplex located in Kure Beach. Offering 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms; The Hideaway A is capable of comfortably accommodating up to 14 guests. This property shares a pool with The Hideaway B (rent on both sides for a total of 10 bedrooms, sleeping 28).

With private beach access and a scenic walkway, guests can step straight from the house onto the soft sands for a relaxing day by the water. For added convenience, the property features an elevator, a one-car garage, and additional driveway parking for 2–3 vehicles. Hideaway more like Hide and Seek

The Hideaway A side a 1 star out of 5 stars. Don’t be fooled by the photos - they are old and a lot of the furniture isn’t even the same. This is not a luxury property as they claim. 1st - the refrigerator was not cooling. Called emergency number and were told to set temp control to the middle setting (the cleaning crew had it set to coolest setting but nothing was cold). We changed setting to middle and it started to cool. If you know this refrigerator has this problem then replace it or put instructions to keep on middle setting. 2nd - the bedroom with 2 bunk beds has a broken ceiling fan and the adjoining bathroom had a broken handle on toilet (they fixed toilet but not ceiling fan - however supplied a stand fan). 3rd - the bedroom behind the kitchen has mold all around the tub/wall. Also this bathroom only had 1 towel rack that was only wide enough for 1 towel - no place to put 2nd towel nor was there a towel rack or ring to hold hand towels by vanity. 4th - kitchen sink has a single faucet with the hot and cold water reversed. The kitchen has two coffee makers - one is broken and the other took 30 minutes to brew one pot. We called before coming down to see if there was a Keurig and was told no when in fact there is a Keurig. 5th - patio door on main level from living room doesn’t lock. 6th - patio dining furniture is old and rusty. 7th - many boards on decking are warped and sticking up with tripping hazard (yes we kept tripping). 8th - railing on steps down to pool is completely broken from the bracket that connects to the post. This is just one step away from a serious injury happening. 9th - pool is dirty/old and needs repainted. Now some people may say these are things that can happen with rental properties - but when you pay over $5,000 for 1 week and are listed as a luxury duplex, I would not expect these kind of issues. We have rented several times in Kure and Carolina Beach and not experienced this bad of a property before. We will never rent The Hideaway again and DO NOT RECOMMEND at all.
