Great stay in Alto Pass!

We had a great stay and the property exceeded our expectations! The hot tub and fire pit are great, beds are comfortable, little extras like a snack basket and toiletries were a nice surprise, plus the location is ideal. Easy to get to hiking, wineries and restaurants! So relaxing and the perfect weekend getaway!

Great location and place to stay on the wine trail!

2 of if stayed here on an extended stay. Comfortable and clean place to stay! and easy access to hiking, wineries, etc. was able to work from here with the wifi available. Enjoyed having the private patio with gas grill and gas fireplace.and hot tub! Would stay here again when back in the area if we can!

We were visiting family. Enjoyed the stay. It was clean and kitchen was well stocked. Beds were just ok. We are in our 60ies and would have like higher, softer beds. All around a nice place to stay.

Property manager was very communicative when we had something come up last minute. Excellent customer service! Property was very clean, and well decorated. Several locations for food are very close, at least 1-2 in walking distance with good food.

Perfect Wine Trail Accomodations

Centrally located to all the wineries and was a great place to stay. Steve was super responsive to the few questions and we couldn’t ask for a better trip. The gas grill and fully stocked kitchen allowed us to cook dinner in and enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub each night. The beds were comfortable, AC was cold and furnishings were well appointed.

This place, #5, has everything you need! A stocked kitchen and a patio with hot tub and propane fire pit are bonuses! 2 bedrooms (to note that the french doors don't seal off completely or lock). Nice property. We stayed in the back section with the hot tub which was nice. The Burbon Bar across the street was the high point. The trails and meals at Giant City State Park where also high pointa.

Loved our stay at the Loft! Was so easy to travel the wine trail. The Loft itself was perfect for us. We were looking for a weekend of R & R, this was the perfect spot! Hot tub was a perfect spot to relax before hitting the wine trail and then a perfect spot to relax after a busy day to relax with a nice bottle from the wine trail. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Getaway Spot

Alto Pass Loft is a great property located perfectly close to wineries and other amenities, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle we were looking to get away from. From booking to check-in, through our stay and check-out, was convenient and hassle free. The property is ADORABLE and exactly as shown in the pictures. Everything we needed was already there (kitchen items/spices/coffee, extra towels/toiletries). The hot tub was such an added perk and made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. Our host, Steve, was amazing with communication from booking to check-out and the welcome basket of snacks was super thoughtful!I would absolutely recommend Alto Pass Loft and being hosted by Steve.

Christmas Weekend!

My sister and I planned our trip and wanted to stay in Alto Pass (years ago I visited here with my mom). Rental was clean and had everything we needed. We did some hiking in Pomona - and there is a big trail right by the VRBO. Saw the Bald Knob Cross, which had family Christmas activities. We went to Murphysboro for shopping and dinner (Cummare's is sensational Italian!) and went to Carbondale Saturday night for the Lights Fantastic parade. Slight hiccup with wifi upon arrival quickly resolved by Steve our host. LOVELY WEEKEND!!!

Great place to stay!

This place has two nice-sized bedrooms, comfy leather furniture in the living space, and ample space throughout. The hot tub was the perfect temperature and just a few steps out the sliding door on the secluded deck. The water pressure is good in the shower. The four of us had plenty of fluffy towels for the hot tub and the shower. The floors are a little creaky but expected in an old building. The location is great - just down the street from the bourbon bar (serves more than bourbon), and right on the wine trail. There is also a fairly flat trail nearby that is an easy walk. My husband and two teens had a good time and plan to stay here again.
