Cute place to stay

The place was clean and the host was super nice! We were in town for a wedding at Havisham and this location was perfect! We were able to walk there in just a few minutes!

Shawnee Wine Trail Getaway

The location worked great for us. The Loft was comfortable and clean. Steve was quick to respond to our questions. Perfect place to stay for our weekend getaway!

Ladies Weekend

The loft is a great place to stay if you’re in the area for hiking and/or wine tasting. Central location, clean and comfortable beds. Would stay here again and definitely recommend!

This place was perfect for our Shawnee National Forest Adventure. We were there early in the week so the local things we liked were not open. Great Value, but loses a star for dirty front windows, no dishwasher and no ceiling fans.

Our stay was very pleasant, very clean unit which was stocked with plenty of coffee and snacks for our three night stay. Perfect location to enjoy the Shawnee wine trail.

Quiet Little Get Away

The loft was very comfortable and clean. Very close to three wineries and within decent driving distance to a few others. The town does close early so that makes it difficult for dinner times but it works if you plan ahead.

Everything was described accurately. We had everything we needed. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook a couple of meals. The place was clean comfortable. Check out the Bourbon bar across the street.

We Loved Alto Loft

We went for our 29th Anniversary and stayed in the front unit of Alto Loft. We loved everything about it. It was absolutely spotless, well decorated, very comfortable, and in a great location with wineries just minutes away and a unique and beautiful Bourbon Bar across the road. We would recommend this place to anyone. It made for a fun, relaxing get away.

Perfect location!

My husband and I enjoyed our trip so much! It was the perfect location for the wine trail. There is the neatest bourbon bar across the street. I definitely recommend stopping by there, as it has the coolest atmosphere. The home was very clean and in a quiet area. It was definitely a place we would stay again. I’ve already recommended it to others.

Great property. Stayed here 10 years ago. Still wonderful. We we here by accident for a wonderful Hispanic festival. Also enjoyed the bourbon bar down the street. Won’t wait 10 years to visit again!

Great location to visit the wine trail. Property was very clean & loved the lush towels. The mattress was softer than I prefer. The living room furniture was comfy but faux leather cracked. The snack basket was a nice touch.

Small town feel

This loft is a perfect location close to several wineries in the area. Little traffic moved on the Main Street and this cabin is across the street to the Havisham Bourbon bar. There is a "Duty" store at the end of the block to purchase ice, snacks, and soda. The only annoyance was several dogs that roamed the street barking every night.

Impressive setup

I booked the two units of the loft for a guys reunion weekend in Southern Illinois (15 guys). This worked out perfectly for us, with all the amenities and space we needed. Brian was the easiest person to work with, and was not short on recommendations for food and entertainment. I would highly recommend the loft to any groups coming in to Southern Illinois.

Hiking the west side of Shawnee, art tour to Paducah and wine tasting

I am in the cabin rental business, so I have experience/opinions. The design of the space is amazing. Brick wall, new couch, chairs, lamps, dining table - all very tasteful, comforting and beautiful. Very arty without being uncomfortably so. Nice new kitchen and kitchen supplies - definitely could cook a nice meal or game day party chili and sides. Beautiful bathroom. Wood floors and nice beds. We were on the east side of Shawnee before in a cozy cabin - what we needed there - nonetheless, it was nice to be able to stretch out in the loft space. Great host - very responsive.

Great location!

So many good things about this house- great location, so cute, stocked with snacks. My two complaints are 1) the furniture. The couch and chairs are flaking leather, and it’s all over the floors. You can’t lay on the couch, the flakes get everywhere then. I found them in the bed, in my hair… I think that needs to be taken care of. 2) we found a dead mouse in a trap under the couch. Really wish that would have been checked and dealt with before we got there. All in all, I do recommend this house still. Location is solid, it’s so close to wineries and the bourbon bar, and there’s a hiking trail right outside. And the store front makes for a cute getaway house.

Wine Trail

Owner was able to get us in on short notice. Cute and modern two bedroom right in the heart of the wine trail. A great hub near many wineries. We enjoyed walking on the trail right outside the door. Great place to stay!
