"We both share part of miscommunication at check in, since we arrived at night and they don't have frint desk at this hour. And we didn't tell them about our arrival. But everybody just move so quickly to fix everything for us even the owner phone us from out of the country to ensure everything was ok. Road was not good, but driving was ok, hour and a half from Puerto Jimenez. Rooms are big. Rest rooms are in the room, but kind of out in the open. NO AC. But fans, electricity is by solar panels, so its limited. Area is amazing and beautiful, lake nearby and kayaks, horses. NICE place into the jungle. "

"this is an extraordinary locally owned platform cabin lodge in the rainforest next to the major national park with the most biodiversity in all Central America. Dispite the challenging location our room with Erie clean, no mold ( a rainforest problem) and fun. With an outdoor shower and a beautiful trail leading to it with candles along the way. They're very basic amenities as expected in a remote launch. The people were extraordinarily nice and fascinating. We will be going back and StayIng in Touch. it is low-key and not overbearingly fancy with the resources that you need and cool animals walking by in the evening and amazing birds in the morning and a beach view that is unbelievable!"

"Our stay at Lapa Rios was unforgettable from the moment we arrived. Staff were waiting for us as we got off the ferry in Puerto Jiménez, and after a scenic drive to the lodge, we were welcomed with tropical drinks and warm, personal greetings. We also went on several guided hikes led by fantastic naturalists who helped us spot wildlife and made the treks fun and informative, even for our 80-year-old family member. What really sets Lapa Rios apart is the level of care from the entire team. From organizing personalized activities to making sure we were comfortably checked in for our return flight, every detail was handled with professionalism and warmth.
