Independent in Captiva

"We didn’t know much about the resort but absolutely loved it. Our room overlooked the Gulf of Mexico, and we could see dolphins from the balcony. It was a quick walk to the beach and easy to rent an umbrella and chairs. We also loved the pools, hot tub, and seeing the manatees. Great service from the staff, also. Hope to return in the future. "

"Amazing stay with family and friends. The home has unbelievable views and beach access right on the ocean with sunsets every night right off the deck. Our hosts were gracious with their time when we had questions and kept in contact to make sure everything was going smoothly. We are planning on returning next year with a bigger crew! Kudos to Stephanie, Bob and Wendy for helping us have a great vacation!"

"Everything was easy from access to property, to use of rented equipment, to access to host. Immediate response when we contacted the host, then found the info in the guide book that was provided. Beach access is a couple minutes walk to beauty. Awesome sunrises and sunsets. We would absolutely return!!"

"Fabulous house in a beautiful private setting on an extraordinary car-free, bustle-free island where you really can get away from it all. Have your morning coffee on the porch, like sitting in a treehouse in the tropical canopy, just you and all the birds and the nearby sound of the Gulf. Easy walk to the beaches on either end of the tiny grass airstrip, or to Mainstay restaurant. Beyond that, a rented cart was very helpful. One of our favorite vacations."

"We had a wonderful time in Lacy’s beautiful home. It was PERFECT for our large family. (8 adults 6 kids). The huge table was perfect for all of us to eat together , play games, and be together. The bedrooms worked perfectly to all have our own space when needed. The location is convenient to everything. We had 4 golf carts which was a real plus for each family to go and do whatever they chose. Shallys was also very attentive to all our needs. Definitely be back and would not hesitate to rent this home again. It was great!"

"This is a 3 Star resort charging 4-5 Star prices, including a $40 resort fee per person, which is pretty high for a place under construction, without good walking paths, and charging very high prices for all food and drinks. Our floors had been swept, but not mopped - my feet got filthy walking barefoot in our room and I had to wash them just to get into bed. The beach is very nice, the pools are very nice, the staff is very nice, but overall, we had a mediocre experience and would not recommend this to our friends."
