Wonderful location with great staff

We really enjoyed our stay here. The best element was the location but another excellent factor was the staff. They were all unfailingly polite, friendly and helpful.

Leider Nebensaison!

Dies war die Begründung des Personals für den fast völlig fehlenden Service. Kein Frühstücksbüffet; der nächste Schritt wäre noch gewesen, dass wir den Kaffee selbst machen müssen. Keinerlei Auswahl, noch nicht einmal ein einigermaßen frisches Brötchen/Brot/Hörnchen etc. Die Frühstückszeit musste schon am Vortag festgelegt werden, ebenso wie die Dinge, die man zu verspeisen beabsichtigte. Der Wunsch am Nachmittag nach heißen Schokolade wurde zwar formla erfüllt; werd die iatalienische Chocolata calda kennt und dannn das erhielt, was ankam, war nicht nur enttäuscht, sondern erbost: dies war schlicht eine Frechheit. Auch der Wunsch nach zwei Tellern, zwei Gabeln, zwei Messern und zwei Weingläsern wurde erfüllt, aber für jeden Anebnd mit 10,00 € in Rechnung gestellt. Dies ist mir in den letzten Jahren nicht mehr passiert. Wir waren dort zum dritten mal, wegen der Nähe zu Arezzo und zum Chianti. Wir waren in diesem Hotel sicher das letzte mal.

Secluded Hotel

We stayed in the hotel about seven years ago, so it was interesting to see how it has changed. Most things were the same, however the main Restaurant's menu did not change during the week, so choice was limited. Though the food was excellent. On the wine list, they did not have some of the wines in stock. The Wellness centre was average and the flip flops provided did not fit a size 8 & above. The Centre did seem as well organised as last time, with the background music not working, forgetting to gives us towels for when we came out of the jacuzzi. The massages received were adequate.

Palazzo d'epoca a cui le foto sul sito, non rendono giustizia, piscina immersa nel verde, cena a lume di candela servita da personale altamente qualificato in un giardino stupendo, pranzo servito in un altro giardino o a scelta nello splendido salone antico interno, colazione continentale di altissima qualità. Il personale è pronto ad esaudire ogni richiesta. Abbiamo chiesto la cortesia di anticipare il check-in che andrebbe effettuato alle 15:00, ed alle 11:00 la nostra stanza era già pronta; il receptionist ha insistito per portare da solo le nostre valigie in camera; avendo optato per il late check-out abbiamo chiesto che la stanza venisse rassettata anche il giorno della partenza e siamo stati accontentati; lo chef ci ha preparato il brodino per il neonato... insomma ogni nostro desiderio è stato esaudito. Unica piccolissima pecca, può essere trovata nella stanza n. 301, che non è raggiunta direttamente dall'ascensore (si deve scendere al 2° piano e fare qualche rampa di scale a piedi) ed essendo una mansarda ci sono delle travi che rendono alcuni movimenti non proprio agevoli. Se l'avessi saputo, viaggiando col bimbo, avrei richiesto una stanza un pò più agevole e sono sicuro che sarei stato accontentato. Ritorneremo presto!

Great Hotel but far from Most Visitor Sights

Hotel is located in former convent. It's beautiful, rooms are clean and large with very high ceilings. The downside, however, is that it's far from most sights a tourist would visit while in the area. Even Arezzo is about 40 minutes away. As a result, we spent about 3.5 to 4.5 hours a day in the car.

Hotel Badia di Campoleone We are an adult couple and were guests at this hotel for 4 nights and have extended our stay for another 2. The hotel is probably the best countryside we have ever stayed in within Tuscany or Italy. It has everything right – from the ample space in and around, the real country house atmosphere of Tuscany and the best food. The swimming pool as well as the around excursions in the nearby village and its beautiful landscape, the peaceful surrounding and the vicinity to Arezzo makes the stay ideal. The overall score for all categories is 5.

Exquisite setting. Great place to stay and be.

Exquisite, setting and beautiful architechture and decor. Great food/dining room and helpful and great staff. Lots to do in the area. Arezzo is incredible and only 10 minutes away. Chianti area is next door too. Beautiful quiet setting and pool. Great spa. Out in the country-side. A bit tough to find the first time, but well worth that part of the adventure. Get a map if possible.

Beautiful Tuscan villa tucked into the countryside

We LOVED the peaceful setting. Gorgeous rooms! Beautiful grounds, w/ well-kept gardens and enormous pool area. The chef was fantastic -- we took many of our meals at the restaurant. If you want to get away from it all, this is the perfect retreat!!!
