"Very nice facility however it is undergoing construction a fact that we weren’t made aware of until well after the booking. They also charge a resort fee (why not include it in the price of the room?) which were not made aware of until check out. We also had to pay extra for maid service ( again we were not made aware until check out) and parking. Where in the hell am I going to park? The parking garage was full so most everyone staying there, drove there. It’s not the kind of place you walk to or take the bus to. The advertised room rate is not what you pay."

"If could give this hotel 1,000 stars, I would! The decor was absolutely stunning and reminded us of our favorite places in Puerto Vallarta. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the two fireplaces made for the perfect nightcap and a truly relaxing evening. The staff at the front desk were amazing—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The amenities were top-notch, including Le Labo shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion (the same brand sold at Nordstrom). The view was breathtaking, and to top it all off, there was a record player in the room with our favorite band, Stick Figure, ready to play. It felt like every detail had been thoughtfully curated to create a memorable experience. This will be our one and only spot for future staycations. We can't wait to come back!"

"We reserved this house months ago for a busy weekend of graduation ceremonies at Chapman and University of San Diego. We arrived late Friday night, then had to drive down to SD early Saturday, so we were gone all day - I didn't get a chance to really check out the house until Sunday morning. The listing doesn't say this - but it is very close to railroad tracks and trains are loud. Good to be aware! Definitely made sleeping tough for the rooms that faced the road and the tracks. Check in was smooth, the parking is good, the access to the beach and the decks/patios/seating are great. However, the house is in poor shape. Lots of loose fixtures, loose door knobs, lights not working, stained carpets, sandy floor in the laundry room, one outlet in the master started smoking when I used my hairdryer (they are not GFI and they should be, so close to the sink), disorganized supplies in the closets, etc. The twin bed in my daughter's room had a panel that kept falling off every time she moved. The bunk beds in the lower room were very shaky and creaky. Just generally everything in this house needs maintenance and cleaning. The walls are scuffed, the linens are just thrown in the cupboard. I opened a hall closet to look for an ironing board and it was a mess in there. I never found an ironing board but there was an iron. Tough to have one without the other and we needed nice clothes for events. Overall very disappointed and we won't return."
