We had a comfortable stay, and the location was very convenient for exploring the city. Although the room wasn't particularly large, it had been recently renovated, featured a double bed, and was clean, comfortable, and well suited to our short stay. This is a straightforward, no-frills property with the essential amenities, and it met our expectations. Beautiful location and really helpful host. She even did a load of laundry for us! Best place we’ve stayed in the UK on our trip so far and I wish we were here longer. Hint: use the postcode instead of the town to find it and you drive right here. There’s a hotel for food a 2 min drive away.

It was heavenly. Perfectly located in the centre of town and close to everything. The room possessed the charm of the old building but with modern luxuries. The staff were so helpful and the breakfast set you up for the day. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else the next time I visit.

This was a great place to stay - a lovely home/guest house with very friendly owner/managers and a healthy packed breakfast when we set out early.

Enjoyed 4 day stay here. With a car is convenient to Mt Snowden railway and various areas of northern Wales. Had a comfortable but slightly cramped room, very clean and quiet. A highlight was the great food and good - breakfast and dinner. Staff very friendly and attentive.

The Slate was a great find. It is a small establishment with a small number of rooms, a bar and restaurant. It is quite new and in excellent condition set in a very green, quite location. I found the room to be very comfortable and well-furnished but the highlight would have to be the bar with its friendly staff and guests and a good selection of beers, wines etc, and truly excellent food. Thoroughly recommended!

Excellent settings in the cabin.

Fantastic BnB in a great central location. Our triple room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was quick, efficient and tasty. Owner was very accommodating and provided excellent customer service. Highly recommend!
