Property was more than I expected! Fantastic three bedroom apartment, clean and spacious! Hotel staff were super friendly and close by to the waterfront. Only drawback is that they could have had more variety for breakfast but would definitely stay here again if I’m back in Cape Town. Entirely family loved the hotel

Romney

Nice apartment suite located in greenpoint 20 minutes from waterfront. Generally safe area but taxi still required. Use unicab excellent service. Hotel service good breakfast nice

Great hotel

The Romney is a very nice classy hotel. The included continental breakfast was magnificent never had such a selection. Would definitely stay here again.

'Smal' hotel close to Waterkant (5min taxi 2$)

Overall good experience, big rooms and clean. Most staff was friendly, some not. Breakfast good and location close to Waterkant.

Charming hotel with large rooms

This hotel has a good location with a charming exterior and interior. Really reminds you of the Victorian colonial style. However it frequently accepts large Indian tour groups so you may need to consider the noise at breakfast, but you could always move outside where it's quieter.

Boutique hotel with fabulous suites

What a gem! We stayed in a luxury suite which was nicely decorated and well appointed. Hotel personnel were amazingly friendly and the spa was brilliant to say the least.

Lovely Suite Hotel, walkable to Waterfront

Really enjoyed the suite and spaciousness of our room. Good breakfast, with 3 hot choices, and cold buffet. Best part was easy 20 minute walk to Waterfront area for lots of shops, restaurants and views of the boats and harbour.

Nice boutique hotel

Staff excellent across the board. Very friendly. Spacious rooms. Safe location. Wonderful balcony. Poor lighting but that is a SA issue. Large bathroom plus bonus second bathroom was a great treat.

Blev ett bra ställe att landa på efter 24 tim flyg. Utsikt bekvämligheter och fin service. Avstånd till Waterfront 1.5 km gör oftast taxi till givet val men det kostar ju bara 40-50 rand + dricks.Perfekt första anhalt på Sydafrika-tour.

Excellent friendly staff, breakfast is diverse, plentiful and great. Dinner at the restaurant was good and cheap but very quiet ... not sure why because it was very good and brilliant cocktails! Bit far from cafes and restaurants if walking and too far from waterfront but taxis are cheap and hotel will book in ( about $5 aud)

Excellent hotel but poor breakfast service

We were very pleased with the hotel and its ammendities and the view was great. Unfortunately the service was not. No one asked us whether we needed help with our luggage or even offered a luggage trolley and we had to make two trips down to the parking area to get all our luggage to our room ourselves. Breakfast service was also bad. We sat at the table for 10 minutes without anyone offering us the menu (I had to ask for one) or coffee. It took a bit longer than 30 minutes for our hot breakfast to finally arrive, even though we ordered immediately when we got the menus and the breakfast we ordered were only bacon and eggs. We would stay at Romney Hotel again and the hotel itself was excellent, but they really need to upgrade there service. It is a five star hotel after all.

Comfortable and spacious Accomodation

The suites are huge and comfortable with ample amenities in them. Very comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. In a quite residential area. Not far from city center and Sea point where good restaurants are. Safe area. Underground Car parking is a little costly.Did not try the in house restaurant and Bar due to lack of time but looked good with great deals. Daily weather updates left in your Room with turn down service was appreciated.Small SPA.

We were disappointed by the location of our room - it was on the ground floor with the noise of reception at one end and the noise from the pool and restaurant at the other. We requested another room, but the staff did not make an effort to accommodate us.

Outstanding Stay!

Romney Park is an absolutely amazing place to stay in Cape Town. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the exclusivity away from the waterfront while being a few minutes away from the beach, stores, and restaurants. I can't thank the awesome staff enough for making our first time in Cape Town and amazing experience!
