Unbeatable location and stunning views
This property is gorgeous and when you sit on the couch peering out at the ocean, you forget there is anything between you and the ocean. Check in was fine, but awkward first interaction with the gentleman who met us there. The home needs a good cleaning and communication with the management company is a bit wonky. And, there are 63 - yup you read that correct, 63 steps from the ground to the front door, straight up. Luckily we’re healthy and able bodied. This doesn’t include the additional 20+ stairs up to the bedrooms. Also, there is someone else who lives on the property in another “in law” apartment looking building. I couldn’t get a straight answer from management who exactly was there and that was sketchy since the crime rate in SA is so high. Ultimately, we all were safe and nothing went sideways, but the management guy (?) was there frequently and that was also strange. No generator backup for load shedding so be prepared for power outages. Glad to have laundry and they provided detergent. Not at all a bad experience, but different. As property owners ourselves, we found some things curious. Perhaps just cultural differences? 🤷🏻♀️
