"We're a family of four visiting Amarillo for a two night excursion. The location was perfect for us since we went to Sod Poodles baseball games both nights. It was minutes away. It was also just a few minutes from grocery stores. The house was neat and clean, and the owners are right next door in case you need help with anything (though we didn't). Those who cook will appreciate the quality of their knives. We would definitely stay there again!"

"We were lucky to stay at the Rider's Roost. We had our two grandsons (8 & 11). Location was very close to Palo Duro Canyon, the scenic TX highway 207. We also went to Caprock Canyons and saw the Bison, a Roadrunner, and a Coyote. The Rider's Roost has sleeping quarters upstairs, kitchenette, nice shower/ toilet and a screened porch. We took our meals to the porch because it was cool and comfortable. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. It is a very charming place, the boys helped feed the chickens and the catfish in the pond. We also got to eat fresh eggs from the chickens. It was everything I wished it to be. The only drawback was the moth ball's pungent smell. But they are necessary to ward off moths. After a while your nose acclimates to the smell. Andrea is a very kind and friendly host."
