"The place was more run down than the pictures show. However that was fine, our main concern was the fact the toilet was full of faeces and leaking into the bedroom next door. The whole upstairs level smelt of sewage and was a big hygiene problem. "

"Loved the nice soap/shower gel dispensers everywhere and the encouragement to recycle and use the food-waste caddy. The only thing that would have helped is a hand rail on the stairs - a couple of us were not 100% mobile and I was a bit concerned for their safety coming down the stairs without a hand rail. They actually managed fine and weren’t worried. Thanks for a lovely weekend!"

"Mold has taken over the cottage and now everything we took on the trip smells like mildew. I may have to buy replacement suitcases. My cpap machine filter turned black from 4 nights use in that place. I can only imagine what is in my lungs from breathing the air during my stay. We had to keep windows open at all times that we were inside; to keep the moldy smell from making us sick. The antiques are nice to look at but not comfortable to use. The shower is barely a drip and it was impossible...

"The location of this historic cottage is perfect, but it did not match the description very well. Although listed for 6 people, the beds will only sleep 5 comfortably, there is seating in the dining area for 4, seating for 3 in the lounge, and two rusted chairs in the outside area. This outside area had rubbish lying around, dead plants and weeds in pots, and no clean places to sit. The mattress in the main bed was uncomfortable- we could feel the springs. The pillows and quilt were stained....
