"The property is beautiful and the resort is wonderful. And the view! Plenty of things to do but if you want to use the pool or hot tub you have to walk through the large lobby in your suit to get to it, so we unfortunately chose not to for that reason (busy resort with a lot of people and children in the large lobby area/restaurant). The in-room amenities need an upgrade. If you want to watch tv at any point, good luck. Impossible to navigate, no movie options to choose from, overall this was akin to an inexpensive hotel stay, not a high end resort. Overall it’s worth every penny if you are able to use all of the perks of the resort. If not, it’s just a pretty place to sleep."

"This hotel is under construction. Our rooms windows were covered outside (no view whatsoever) as they were actively jack hammering out front of the hotel by 8am. Down the hall a crew was active daily, so if you want to book a stay, be ready for some construction activity all around you. It's a beautiful old hotel in need of renovation, but unless you enjoy being in the middle, I'd book elsewhere in Manitou Springs until they finish the job."
