The staff were pleasant. The hotel is conveniently located right off the thruway. You can tell they have attempted to update the rooms, but cut corners. The tub/ shower was some sort of “bath fitter” cover but the faucets and drains were old and rusting. The shower barely got warm let alone hot. They moved art work or updated it, but left the old wall anchors. I had an iron, but no board. The window had no security bar or stopper. It opened all the way on the first floor. There were an overwhelming amount of security cameras all over the property which made me feel less safe. The property is very close to the thruway so there is a fair amount of noise.

The beds were extremely small . Made so much noise with every moment you made trying to get comfortable. The Mini fridge temperature knob was broken so I couldn’t control it. When you take a shower there is no fan to vent out bathroom so that leaves it extremely muggy and makes room uncomfortable. Breakfast!? If you consider toast a breakfast The check-in and check out was nice and easy.

Place was fabulous! We were driving from home to a destination and required a place for an overnight accommodation. We arrived warmly welcomed, and given our room. Upon entering the room, it was small, and yet it efficiently laid out and very tidy. Appreciated the vinyl flooring as opposed to CArpet!

The breakfast was incredibly limited and the eating area and the check in desk are literally the same small area. My husband went next door to Dunkin. So if you are planning on utilizing the breakfast option don’t plan on having much to pick from. The hotel itself was fine for the price and it’s right off the highway so it was fine for our overnight stop just passing through.

The most disappointing “breakfast” ever.
I travel quite a bit and am willing to spend a few dollars more for the convenience where breakfast is included in the price. And I am aware that Days Inn is not a luxury chain. However, in this case, calling what was presented “breakfast” is too charitable - but somehow this hotel gets away with charging for it as part of the room rate. Even well before 7 a.m. when one would expect there to be some choices, the main attraction was a “choice” of individual slices of bread in clear baggies (not even the zip-locking kind). I did see several miniature cellophane wrapped pastries of a dubious nature and 2 (count them) packets of instant oatmeal. No other choices of hot or cold cereal. No fresh or packaged fruit. No dairy. No eggs. Powdered creamer if you chose to brew your own coffee. No visible tea bags. There’s a Dunkin’ Donuts across the parking lot and it would probably benefit this hotel to make a deal with that store to serve its stale donuts from the previous day as a breakfast option. Maybe the hotel dietician works at one of the dozen or so nearby correctional facilities and can’t differentiate between wards of the state and paying customers.

Hallway smelt like stale cigarettes. The bed was very comfortable but was not a true queen size. More like a full.. Could have used 2 cups instead of the one provided amd soap as well.

This is our go-to spot when visiting Canastota. It is clean and quiet, and newly renovated. We have always had a good experience here.

Excellent proximity to 90. The hotel was just fine. Not fancy but clean. The breakfast was very simple but glad to have coffee made and several items available.

Not a metropolitan place, but what a find
The motel is located right off the NYS thruway and had better prices than other similar brand and style lodgings in the central NY corridor. The staff was amazing-- they moved us to another room so we didn't have to haul luggage up stairs. Dog friendly, too, and put in a decent room versus the dog owner room that's an insult. Routinely recommend a local bar & grille we learned that had outstanding food and service, too.
