"This is a low-budget motel but nothing wrong with that if it suits your budget. Overall, the place was in good shape and clean. If you can overlook some peeling paint on the front door and the wall rad in the bathroom and a little bit of sand and dust in the tiled floor corners, you will appreciate the price point. Expect some cracked tiles in the bathroom (but still intact), and the price reflects the imperfections. This was a quiet place (we stayed on a Friday night). The tv works well, a/c was strong, bed was pretty good and the three pillows were much better than expected."

"I stay in a lot of hotels and I’ve never written a review or walked out on a stay before this experience. It was so bad that we handed the key back and didn’t stay. Where do I begin? The smells (like cat urine), the drywall mud patches on the walls, dirty, terrible. I’ve been in touring bands for years, toured all over Canada and the USA (even oilpatch Alberta) and I’ve never seen a property this run down in my life. The owners refusal to refund my money or even offer explanation is wild. VRBO is refusing to help as well as Expedia passing the buck two and fro. You will get the runaround. This property is so desperate for your money that you will not get it back. Do not book this property. After speaking to some locals, we found out that the city of Renfrew pays this… “establishment” to put up the city’s addicts and unhoused for the winter. Avoid at all costs, especially if you have kids or you want to stay married. Had to book another hotel at extortion prices and lose my investment as well. AVOID."

"The host we’re awesome, very friendly and welcoming. They made sure we were all set before letting us enjoy our couple days we stayed in their beautiful cottage, all amenities worked as they should, hot tub was an awesome touch. Thank you Brianna!"
