"Unbelievable would be an understatement! Starting with the host Clemence who was simply a delight and couldn’t do enough for us to make us feel at home and welcomed . The property itself is magnificent, spacious grounds immaculately kept . Children’s play area etc . The rooms are spacious , clean and beautifully decorated with the most amazing bedding and comfy beds . Breakfast was a treat every morning and got the day off to a great start . Perfectly situated 20mins from Bayeux and not more...

"To be honest we just wanted to stay overnight. Clean and basic, been staying in a Chateau beforehand!! Very quiet, no atmosphere. No soft music and the lady owner just 'hanging' around to support you. Maybe so different in the summer months, but if you wish to Villedieu definitely the place to stay overnight."

"Toilet area is a bit “Heath Robinson” in that the wash basin and shower are, for all intents and purposes, in the bedroom. Little sound privacy on the toilet as well. Otherwise a nice, modern, clean hotel with great staff."

"hôtel un peu désuet mais ayant tout de même du charme, idéalement situé au coeur de Vire, mais un peu bruyant tôt le matin avec la reprise de la circulation. bon, il suffit de fermer la fenêtre ! le hic c'est l'absence de climatisation... je comprends qu'en Normandie cela ne soit pas la première préoccupation, mais les années prochaines, ça peut le devenir ... a part ça, rien à redire, personnel et Direction sympathiques !"

"Nice B&B outside of town. Owner very pleasant and provided a wonderful breakfast. Nice location 35 minutes from Mont St. Michel. Nice stop for the night then just an hour drive to Normandy D-day beaches, sights and Airborne museum the next day."

"A lovely stay in a traditional Normandy Manor House. We have stayed many times and will return. The rooms off the courtyard suit us best due to steep stairs in the main house. Lovely well maintained grounds (not extensive though). Plumbing can be a little erratic! Wonderful food at dinner and breakfast. Some dishes cooked on open fire. All home made. Family run, friendly & unassuming. "
