"Our stay at Quaint Spanish Colonial was exactly what we needed during a rather grueling birdwatching trip. The house was in perfect order, and Vilma was attentive, warm, and quickly responded to questions. I wish we could have stayed longer but we had to travel to other parts of Florida. If you need a "home away from home" during a Homestead area visit, you can't go wrong with this Vrbo."

"I love the place. That’s is a hidden gem. I would let the guy in the property stay there full time in case the guest need something. He was very helpful. In the lake house you could add some paintings or Japanese drawing to the wall to make it feel more cozy . Overall the experience was great and the birds and landscape are breathtaking. "What a lovely home! It was in a peaceful, secluded, beautiful location. I loved sitting on the patio under the huge sunshade drinking my morning coffee. There were tons of cool birds (Palm Warblers, Mockingbirds, Doves, hawks, and more). The fruit grove was really interesting for us city dwellers! Everything about the house was excellent: the comfy beds, the washer-dryer, the fruit left for us on the counter-top, the wifi, the bookshelves full of nature, local attractions, and environmental books. The kitchen was so well stocked. Wayne responded immediately to our questions.We did not realize that Homestead was an agricultural center. The fruit, orchid, banana, and houseplant nurseries were plentiful, and so friendly and accommodating. We stopped by several of them and they'd put us on a golf cart and give us free tours, answering all of our questions!Also, it is very convenient to go to the Everglades. We went down to Florida Bay and had a really fun and informative nature boat tour where we saw 4 crocodiles, 4 manatees, tricolored herons, pelicans, lots of Osprey, and much more! April is a great time to visit; not crazy hot, very few bugs (except on one hike in the Everglades).When we left we messaged Wayne and he immediately checked to make sure we didn't forget anything, and called to let us know I had left my phone charger. We had only gotten about 4 blocks away! So nice! We loved this VRBO!"

"This house was great for the two of us. We used it as a base for exploring Everglades and Biscayne National Parks. Our only issue was that one heard outside noises quite easily; in particular, we heard the nearby rooster crowing at all hours of the day and night (2:30 am, 3:00 am, etc.). Power went out once, and our host checked in by phone a few minutes later. All in all, a very good experience."
