Overall it was a good stay for a night however I think there are better hotels in the north of the island. For exemple, I much prefer their more boutique hotel Tropical. Cosier and more friendly. Thought we would try another hotel from the Attitude group. That being said, I think it’s a great hotel group for families. The staff seemed a little unmotivated and absent. We tried to go eat at their beach restaurant but it was booked out for a private event. Also their other à la carte restaurants were reserved for guests staying more than three nights so that was a little annoying. It is also worth noting that to go on their private island you have to eat there and reserve in advance. You can go on the island by kayak for exemple. Seems a bit cheeky.

I'd happily come back again!
Nice clean modern hotel. Amazing views Great selection of pools and restaurants. Kids club, Tai Chi, Archery and water activities were all excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.

Absolutely loved ZIlwa. The rooms are clean and lovely the food and staff are great the entertainment 10/10 . They have free paddle boat you can take out and they have a small island a boat picks up every 15 mins you have a a barbecue lunch on there. If you consider Zilwa definitely go for All inclusive as the food is amazing. They have a shop and car hire place across the road so if you want to travel around the island it’s idea to hire a car . Is really safe to drive they do 20-30 mh . I would recommend traveling around to see other beaches and the capital port Lou’s otherwise there’s not much around calodyne where Zilwa is but there is so much going on at Zilwa you don’t have to Leave there . Thank you Zilwa we hope to come back again.

Great hotel
Very clean, simple but effective decor tastefully done, in a wonderful location. Real coffee in the rooms went downstairs treat, and plentiful choice for eating (hit and miss with some of the dishes but well presented and something for everyone) Staff were friendly, watersports free including a great little snorkelling trip, bbq on Gran Zil was lovely and plenty of restaurant choices (if you can get a sitting) Big hotel but not overcrowded. Gym good and other activities and entertainment available. Very happy 👍

Wow wow wow this hotel is truly amazing! The breathtaking view as you walk around the corner and into the bar is just incredible, photos do not do it justice. The food at the Zilwa was all incredible. We tried every restaurant apart the Mauritian, and just couldn’t get any better. The buffet restaurant Karay has lots to choose from and always fresh. Make sure book the a la carte restaurants at the guest experience desk. The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious. Everything you needed and great views wherever you were staying. There is a mini bar shop by the karay restaurant in which you can top up your mini bar in room for free if all inclusive. Staff… just so friendly and welcoming, couldn’t do enough for us. Favour, Arvind, Daniela, Angie, Maeva, Victor and Lensley were the main staff that we had the most interaction with and always so happy to see us. We did a sunrise boat excursion which we booked with guest experience and that was with a local fisherman called Dessie, we paid him direct. He was so lovely, hotel provides a little picnic too. Make sure you book that and he will also do a sunset boat trip too. Big John on the beach also provides excursions which we did the dolphin and turtle half day and the inland day. Which both were just great. All in all the hotel is just incredible, I will definitely be going back to the Zilwa! I loved it so much. They have literally thought of every single detail and I have no complaints whatsoever.

We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel - they decided to do renovations in the room just above ours and the hammering didn’t stop for hours! We couldn’t be in the room at all. When we mentioned that at the reception - they didn’t even say sorry, just proceeded to hand us the bill where they wanted to charge us the amount we already paid to Expedia. So again had to wait until they call their reservation team and sort their mistake out. Breakfast was also disappointing. Not a great experience at all

Property is perfect for families with childre under 12. We were in an adults only area which we thought meant that maybe there was an adult's only pool or an adult's only beach area but in reality it wasn't even an adult's only building. They also didn't inform us that we could not eat anywhere but at the buffet because we were only staying two nights until we got there. The buffet food was bland at best. The property just isn't worth the $600 a night we paid.

Best of three Attitude hotels this trip
A large hotel with resonably high occupancy but plenty of space and lots of places to sit includings bars, restaurants, pools and beaches so didn't feel crowded. We were half board and the food was varied and excellent. Extras such as lunch and drinks are expensive including non-alcoholic ones so if you want a lot of these things then all-inclusive would just about work out; we are content with 2 meals a day and drink mostly tea which is free.

Lovely hotel with great facilities (pedalos, kayaks, sailing, big choice of pools and beaches) and good food. Set up well for families. We upgraded to all inclusive once there which made for a very stress free trip and meant we could do things like the beach bbq.

Highly recommend
Amazing stay. Highly recommend Zilwa. The beach front is a great place to relax. Loads of food options at the many restaurants. We went diving with the company based at the hotel called Dodo diving which was great. We had a great spa, played tennis and went out on the water sports.

Excellent hotel
This hotel is amazing. Lovely room, great pools, beautiful setting and great service. We had the all-inclusive option and the food and cocktails were really good. I will definitely stay here again.

We liked the hotel very much. There were lots of watersportactivitis free of charge. The food was amazing. The hotelstaff very helpfull an friendly. The hotel was very thoughtfull of the environment, so you couldent get any plastic bottles. The covid tests was professionaly done. After our stay in this 4 star hotel we stayed in a higher categorised hotel. In our opinion this hotel should be a 5 star hotel.

Hotel great, sea not so good
The hotel was really nice, but I would say that it’s not great for swimming in the sea. You have to wear protective shoes and the cordoned off area is very shallow.

Interesting experience
To be honest we were really excited to stay here, but coming from the st. Regis it was a change in service. We asked if we could move our all inclusive around and they flat out refused and told us we needed to contact hotels.com, and then they told us all the restaurants were booked so basically our all inclusive was pointless, when they could have told us through the emails I sent them. At the end from getting a manager, and me getting so upset I cried the manager gave in to help us. But honestly, it just felt so demeaning and like the really didn’t want to help us. I get policy is policy, but we paid for 5 nights, don’t see why nothing was communicated and flexible. Most employees were incredible a side from that, but when we ordered things they forgot very often and we had to keep telling them again. Not everywhere but in some restaurants and bars. The bed was not comfortable at all and the rooms didn’t feel up to par for a 4 star and it wasn’t super clean. Had an amazing view though. The pools are very great but the beach is terrible, not clear and just to your knees and it’s so hard to go out and swim when the water is full dirt from the ocean. If you are here for the beach or the ocean I would definitely not recommend this place. Much clearer waters elsewhere. Great prices for a hotel though and I love all the live music every night. That was definitely my favorite part. Depends what you are looking for, but I do think there are better places to stay.

However, I am happy to read that you have appreciated the exceptional views from the room, the pool and the evening entertainment. Since your booking was made via Expedia and partly in All-Inclusive and Bed & Breakfast changing again part of your stay on different meal plans would have needed a modification on Expedia booking. We have taken good note of this short coming from our side and have implemented corrective action on same. Regarding the style of the rooms, I respect your views and regret that the furnishings did not meet your expectations. Please note, as advertised on our website and in TO brochures, the architecture of our local island is based on the Mauritian culture, consisting of concrete floors, bamboo, and other recycled woods. I am sorry if our rustic decor gave the impression of being dirty. Rest assure that our cleaning standards are validated and controlled by SGS. Furthermore, with reference to the sea, we have decided as much as possible to protect the environment and therefore not interfere with the lagoon depth. However, we do provide free daily snorkeling trips, so that the most active swimmers may enjoy the clear, deeper lagoon right in front of the hotel. I have read your comments about the behavior of some of our Family Members with great concern. Rest assure that this is not our usual standard. I would like to share that we have strengthened our ongoing training program for all our Family Members and even our young recruits. We strongly believe in helping our young Mauritian collaborators succeed in starting a hotelier’s career. Perfect Family Resort
Our second time in this resort. The best part are the amenities and the staff. All very nice, lots of pools and water activities. We did not have to queue ever at check in, restaurants or check out. We requested a late check out provided at no cost. So all just perfect. they could improve are the rooms. They are a bit simple and low cost. We would go back if we have the opportunity.

The Zilwa Attitude hotel was wonderful from start to finish. As you enter the hotel you are greeted by a view that can only be described as breathtaking. You know you're in for something special. With kids this moment is taken to another level when you see the giant ship sailing through the gardens of the kid's club. It makes the most jaded kid (and adult) say wow. Our daughter prefered the kid's club to spending time with us - which allowed us to take trips to the Marine Park and snorkel with wild turtles! However, what really set Zilwa apart was how the staff treated our baby. From supplying a baby bath (without us asking) to bringing a doctor to our room when he was unwell, the staff and team really seemed to care.

Great, cozy hotel with super service. Could have been a 10/10 but few things should be improved: > don't ask people to pay in the invoice if they already paid! that unnecessary leaves a bad feeling. > just give people bath towels (without complicated system with cards, punishments when you don't give them back in time etc.) People pay thousands of € for the stay and hassling over bathing towels is out of place. > waiters should be there if needed - sometimes within few minutes they wanted to clean our table when we were just in the middle of eating - we enjoy eating food slowly.

Zilwa attitude is exactly what we needed for our one week all inclusive vacation. Amazing setting, clean, nice facilities, varied choice of food and restaurants, really friendly and professional staff. They even gave us packed lunches for the day trips, and were always willing to help. A bit crowded with weddings, meaning the main (romantic, beach) restaurant was closed most days, and other restaurants were a bit slower than usual for service sometimes (e.g. Indian) but overall we had a great time at Zilwa and would most definitely return. Thank you to all who made our stay great.

The views from this hotel are amazing!! The picture of the island in the background that you see online is the exact view! The staff overall were very friendly but not always very attentive in the main restaurant at breakfast and dinner. It sometimes took a long time to get drinks. The staff in the evening made you feel like you a bit of an inconvenience if you went for dinner around 9pm onwards even though it is on until 10pm. Otherwise the rest of the staff were wonderful. The hotel was very clean and modern with a nice wooden shabby chic look about it. The showers are open plan in the room with blinds shielding you from the windows but the toilets are separate but the layout worked really well. The beach area was nice but it wasn't very flat so if you were trying to move your bed into the areas of sunshine, the bed was majorly unlevel. The hotel offers BBQ lunches at a tiny island right next to the hotel which was lovely and recommended. They can also organise a sunrise boat trip with a local fisherman for 1200 MR (about £26) which was amazing and well worth it! There are 4 restaurants on site, we ate at the Chinese and the beach one and both were superb but the daily evening restaurant as part of the all inclusive was mediocre. They had some choice which was good but if the main included beef or lamb it was often chewy or gristly. The chicken was generally good though. Breakfast was good on the whole. Overall we had a lovely stay here for our honeymoon!

Great service, clean and comfortable rooms with a twist of authentic Mauritian styling. Plenty of pools laid out really nicely. The grounds are spread out quite nicely and although the hotel was pretty full, it never felt busy or crowded. The hotel is very good on service and generous willing to accommodate where they can.

It was nice however as it was our honeymoon we would have expected a better room as we spoke to others not on there honeymoon and they got upgrades. Other than that it was very nice.

Hotel had good pool and beach facilities. The luxury beach suite was fab and walked straight out onto beach. The specialty restaurants were good and high quality food. However service was slow overall and very average, cocktails were all watered down bottled juice, buffet breakfast and lunch was poor, restaurants had to be booked and couldn’t always get in.
