Very large hotel in a noisy area and a short walk from the sea front. Very large bar area with rows and rows of small round tables and chairs. Not very comfortable and bright lights so not somewhere you want to spend time at night. However bar staff were helpful and a good range of drinks. There was a tv lounge across from reception. The restaurant was very large and noisy. You had to hunt to find a table to share and then some of the time you were looking for cutlery and napkins etc. The staff were working very hard clearing the tables but finding it difficult to keep up with the volume of people including large school/sports groups. The food was ok and good value for money but not a relaxing experience. The bedroom was ok but a bit scruffy with cracked floor tiles and bathroom door poor condition. The hotel is very dated.

We had a lovely stay; the hotel is a little outdated, but is in great location, close to the beach, has 4 pools (including one for small children). There was a great choice of food, staff was friendly and helpful and room was regularly cleaned. Highly recommend.

Clean property, comfortable but basic rooms. Good price. 8 mins walk to bars, restaurants and shopping street. Unfortunately there is a big negative about the hotel. It has paper thin walls. You can hear all the neighboring rooms, it's like you are in the room with your neighbours. Also the corridors outside the rooms are very echoe, if someone is talking in the corridor every one knows the conversation. When a wheeled case goes by your room it sounds like a train coming past your room. Very noisy, so would not recommend.

This a good hotel for the price you pay. There is always something you can find to eat in the restaurant and a fresh cooking station. All the staff are lovely and friendly. The front of the hotel has been done up. Our room needed updating but was fine. There was a sewage smell from time to time from the bathroom unfortunately but they seem to be aware and a freshner smell comes through after a while

The food were not the best , most of it from days before, almost nothing was fresh, but is ok for the price we paid wasn’t bad. the beds in our room was terrible, bathroom was stinky and old, the hotel itself is wonderful with nice friendly staff, so in general it’s more than okay, but if you’re looking for luxury and better quality food you have to pay more, the most nice thing is at evening there was plenty of activities like salsa dance, yoga and multi cultural music.

I had a 3 night stay at htop olympic and it was nothing short of amazing, the staff were friendly, the facilities were im very good condition and the dining experience was very coordinated and the food tasted delicious each time. The pool was cleaned every morning and the poolside was very neat. The oly downside was that I literally had to search for the domestic staff when my room needed cleaning. I would recommend this hotel in you are ever in Calella. I had very good value for my money.

We had a few rooms booked as we are a big family 14ppl. Unfortunately, all of us had the same issue with the rooms there were mosquitoes, and on the first night, everyone was bitten so we had to buy something against it. The A/C was so noisy and you couldn't sleep with it on but then was too hot. I think they should look into this before the high season starts. Also, the swimming pool at the edges was not looked after (green marks). The number of lifts they have is not enough for the number of people they accommodate and has a mould smell. In the photos, they have a photo of a bar/restaurant next to the sea, the only advantage you get is that they give you a small discount for the sunbeds and umbrellas (around 2€) Looking into these issues will not rate it higher than 2starts, I must highlight that the staff is very helpful.

I read on Google a lot of bad reviews of this Htop Olympic. And honestly I don’t agree with any of the reviews. The pools are clean. The food is very good. There isn’t a very big variation but most days there are different options .Some of the plates and utensils and cups aren’t completely clean but that’s understandable because they use a dishwasher. The only number one thing I would highly advise everyone is that this is not a very up-to-date hotel. The rooms are not modern. The beds are not very ideal or comfortable. To have a twin size bed. No Smart Television, (Netflix or YouTube or capability for your phone). The bathrooms in the rooms are not to impress. And as many others have complained the walls are very thin you can hear clearly through the walls in the next room literally “everything”. Other than the rooms needing a modern overhaul update. I would say overall the Hotel is very good for the price. Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. Multiple Pools. Beach 4 blocks away. Gym. Large bar. Billiards table. Karoake nights. Several activity nights.

An ok basic cheap hotel

Basic room but ok, very tired particularly the bathroom. Staff were friendly but unfortunately the hotel was full of school groups so every night we had screaming teenagers running up and down the halls with seemingly no intervention from anyone.

The room was cool with light bedding do in the night you were cold and the thermostat blew cold air. The room was big enough but paper thin walls so you could hear everything. The noise all night was horrendous. People shouting, baging and crashing around in the corridor until 3.30 am!
