"Good position, appears to have been recently refurbished, room very clean and comfortable with effective air conditioning. Very good breakfast and we enjoyed an excellent special fiesta dinner. Very friendly and helpful staff. "
"The bed was comfy. Sadly nothing else was good about this apartment. It lacks basic amenities such as soap and curtains. We were kept awake all night by a broken down fridge fan that wouldn’t stop making noise, and then kept awake in the early hours of the morning by the sunrise as there are no curtain on one side of the apartment. There is no parking available, its residents only, which we were not warned about. There is also no lift and we were on the top floor with heavy luggage. Would not re...
"I had a great stay here! It’s a well-kept place with everything you need for a comfortable visit. The room was clean and cozy, and the location in the center of town was ideal. The on-site restaurant was a great bonus, and the paella was amazing! Everyone—from the staff to the owners—was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They clearly care about their guests and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!"
"The accommodation itself is well worth the money however breakfast left a lot to be desired. There was often long queues for the hot plate and the food sometimes required to be microwaved.
All in all though, we enjoyed our stay and thought that we got value for money."

"Great stay, enjoyed the property. There are a few improvements that could be made: the pool light didn’t work, it would make night time swimming a bit more special. The barbecue needs to be changed, it’s tiny and very old. The plastic chairs sun loungers could do with an update, most of them had a crack in them. All in all, we had a great time, L’Escala is a lovely town. William and his daughter are great hosts, they let us stay longer on the day of check out as there was no booking after us. This made our return journey home a lot more relaxing. Thank you!"
Villa in L'Escala, Costa Brava, Spain. - Private Pool
10/10 Excellent
"We had an unforgettable two-week stay at this beautiful villa in Cala Montgó, L’ Escala. The location is just perfect – set on a peaceful hillside with absolutely stunning views from every room and the roof terrace, yet only 5–10 minutes from the beach and shops and restaurants. The villa itself is spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The pool was a highlight for us – a lovely size and always inviting – and the surrounding grounds are just as beautiful. We especially enjoyed the two nearby viewing points, which made for wonderful walks and even better sunsets. This villa is a gem: a fabulous location, gorgeous design, and total relaxation. We couldn’t have asked for more and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy the Costa Brava."
"Absolutely adored this hotel. Great location (shops & restaurants nearby, beach ditto!) and a beautiful pool & breakfast buffet. Our room had a lovely balcony with a sea view. An affordable mini luxury! "
Spacious villa, private pool, sea/mountain view, near beach, airco , free wifi
6/10 Okay
"We had an enjoyable stay at Villa Marco Polo. The location is convenient, but you really need a car or scooter for reaching the beaches, nearby Riells and definitely old town, and supermarkets.Communication with the host was excellent, and assistance was prompt and helpful. The kitchen was well-equipped (note that there’s no oven), though the dishwasher is not located in the main kitchen. The villa was clean and everything functioned as expected, though the property is showing signs of age and the furnishings are quite basic. I’d recommend bringing your own bedding (fitted sheets, flat sheets, and pillowcases) and towels. Although we paid for them, the provided linens and towels were very worn (and we had to make the beds on arrival) The main bedroom has a comfortable bed, but the others were less so, and the pillows were in poor condition—we ended up purchasing new ones ourselves. It’s also worth noting that the fourth bedroom is accessed through the main bedroom, which may not work for some, it’s small so really just for young children. The pool and view were definite highlights. Outdoor furniture was adequate, though the main table was a folding camping table, and while there were umbrellas for shade, the main one was broken. We weren’t there to watch TV, but for reference, it wasn’t connected and air conditioning is only available at an extra cost.We had a good stay, and it’s a good villa, needs a little more love and attention given to it.
