Anyone who stays here needs to realise that this us a very old and basic property. For the price you cant go wrong, but dont expect western standards. Its like stepping back in time which ads a charm to it. Overall it was a place to bunk for the night and that's it. So with that, and the overall price, it was perfect for me.

Thank you for your report and sorry for the inconvenience.As you might have noticed, we are completely renovating the hotel. We started by temporary closing the Sixth floor and these days we are changing and renewing the bathrooms. We started by replacing the floors and walls by with new Tiles.To do that we had to get sand, cement and the new Tiles. All this had to come through the reception on the 7th floor and this is the reason for the temporary and unavoidable disorder.

This is a very old hotel. You can see pictures of it back in the day on the walls. Its hard to find and in a very run down building, but its like being in a time warp. The beds were clean and comfortable. It looks dirty because its old, but i wiped at some places and they were clean, just stained over time, like in the bathroom. Check-in was tedious, filling out a paper with your home address and profession, bad exchange rate given and you must pay cash. Charged me $8 to wash a load of laundry and hang it out to dry. Wifi in reception only. This hotel is fine for a night or two passing through, but if you book it gor your whole vacation, you may be unhappy. Its very close to the museum and tahrir square!

Filthy bathroom
Dirtiest toilet I have ever seen in a hotel. Had to clean the toilet before using. Would not use the bathroom here unless I was desperate. Otherwise the hotel seemed okay but the filthy bathroom alone pulled down the grade. The shower was nasty too. ⁷

We are very sorry about your comment.Upon its receipt we immediately took action.You had arrived at the hotel at around after midnight and left at the same day at 5 in the early morning.You took a simple room without bathroom. So the bathroom you used is a public bathroom.We do not know who used the bathroom before you and maybe he dirtied it??We are very sorry for your inconvenience and please accept our apologies.If you come again to our hotel we will upgrade you to a room with bathroom without any extra charges

The hotel has lots of character and has retained its mid-twentieth century charm. The staff were unfailingly helpful and pleasant. Our room was large, comfortable and air conditioned, and the bathroom had been modernised and was good.

Airport pick up confirmed but no car arrived. Not informed also. Bathroom tap came in hand. Bathroom basin water logged. Horrible sound while opening tap. Bathroom door can not be closed. Reception prefers to say "sorry" instead of fixing the problems. A/C temperature fluctuates from 12 to 26 deg C. On several followup TV problem fixed.No egg in Breakfast. It is unethical to recommend this hotel by all agents

Sorry, I was the worst experience I had ever went through. Everything is so bad. The floor , the walls, the bathroom. I have pictures for everything. I could not stay more the some hours and left at the first ray of light. I had proof that i stayed only one night and left. I need to get my money back because I did not stay more than 5 hours. i arrived on the 6/7/19 at midnight and left at 06/8/19 in the down. I need to get the money you charged me as i stayed only that time.

Let me first say that I had no expectations because I was simply in Egypt for the sights and not so much the people or the hospitality. Both Maged and Ahmed, who work the front desk, far exceeded anything I could have imagined. Any question or concern I had was promptly dealt with and answered. I wanted for nothing. For that, both the Lotus Hotel and its staff have my eternal thanks. The rooms are a bit outdated, sure, but that adds to the charm. When I go back to Egypt, which I will, I will definitely be staying at the Lotus. 5/5

I stayed 6 nights at lotus hotel, it was a convenient hotel, a the staff were helpful except a woman that was aggressive and I really hated the way she talked with because a misunderstanding that happened to me here, also i think when they knew that I’m arabic tourist not foreign they started to treat me diffrently, i was supposed to stay in a room with private bathroom and shower but accidentally they gave me a room with private bathroom and bathtub so they told me that I had to pay more and in aggressive way but later a gentleman tried to fix the misunderstanding and told me I could stay in this room without paying extra money so he is really a great man i wished I know his name, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast included cheese and jam and beans I didn’t like it so much so i ended up having breakfast in another places which were cheap and the food was tasty, over all I enjoyed my staying here and I think I could return again :) And thanks to Mr.gentleman with the loveliest smile :))))

The staff was always friendly and tried to help as much as they could. The hotel is very old and needs renovation but at least you are not required to go through tedious security measures each time you access it.

Good overall experience
Not bad at all for a single traveller. If you are looking to impress a partner, this is not the place. If you are looking for a friendly staff, basic accommodation, and place to rest while you go out all day and do stuff, this is the place. Staff friendly and responsive, facilities old but reasonable. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. I would use it again if I was travelling alone, but not with my family.

I stayed at the Lotus Hotel for about a week. The location is great, in the heart of downtown Cairo. The room is large, with air conditioning. A drawback of being in downtown is the surrounding noise from the streets at night. Breakfast was typical and good. I'd definitely stay there again!

An trash film. It’s on 7 floor of an old building. Elevator has no door. No one in the reception helps you to get a taxi. No towel for shower just small one for face. No mini bar in the room. No fan. Room completely dirty. The ceiling is falling. Full of flies. Breakfast ridiculous. Not joking: I was afraid the building falls down every night. I prayed a lot. Except for an old gentleman in the reception, all others are rude. See the pictures. Run from here!

Das Hotel liegt in einigen oberen Etagen eines Hochhauses. Es ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber insgesamt in einem recht guten Erhaltungszustand. Lediglich die sanitären Anlagen würden eine Erneuerung brauchen. Allerdings sind sie grundsätzlich funktionstüchtig. Die Betten sind bequem, die Zimmer sind mit modernen Klimaanlagen ausgestattet. Das Personal ist freundlich hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist günstig in der Innenstadt gelegen, so dass in der Umgebung gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und eine Anbindung an den öffentlichen Nahverkehr gegeben sind.

오래된 호텔이나 그만큼 뭔가 클래식한 느낌이 있음. 다른 유사 가격대 호슬텔보다 세련된 느낌은 적으나 나름 잘 관리가 되고 있는 모습이었음. 1,2박 정도로 묶어볼만은 함. 옥상 바가 의외로 매력 있음.

Dünyanın birçok ülkesinde birçok otelde kaldım. Bu otel, en korkunç olanıydı. 1950'de yapılan otel o yılda kalmış. Temizlik sıfır, oda asla temizlenmiyor. Odadaki klima 70 yıllık. Kırılmış, çalışmıyor, kimsenin umrunda değil. Banyoda havlu yok. Saç kurutma makinesi istediğimizde olmadığını söylediler. Restoranında kullanılan bardak, kaşık ve tabaklar pislik içinde. Bar katından gelen sesler gece 3 e kadar uyutmadı. Tek olumlu yanı, Tahrir Meydanı'na yakınlığı. Asla bu otelin önünden bile geçmeyin.

Hôtel qui a du avoir son heure de gloire en 1950, resté inchangé depuis et confit dans son jus... mais très propre, chambres spacieuses, personnel souriant et agréable. Bien sûr tout est un peu défraîchi, les sommiers des lits sont centenaires et la douche donne un filet d'eau - mais on en a pour son argent et même plus pour un hôtel à 20€ en plein centre du Caire. Nous l'avons utilisé pour un "day use" entre deux avions et avons été fort satisfaits.Wifi fonctionnel.

HOTEL ART DECO AGREABLE
Beaucoup de clients ne réfléchissent point à la problématique du "CAIRE HAUSSMANNIEN". C e sont des immeubles anciens ,et très difficiles à entretenir Toutefois à LOTUS HOTEL je suis à l'aise , avec sont style ART DECO des années 60 .Le nouveau manager est très senssible au bien-être de chacun mais en respectant ce style, et est toujours à la recherche de pièces anciennes telle la cabine téléphonique dans le longe ,et a dynamisé l'hotel avec un bar très actifs attirant de ce fait beaucoup de jeunes dans une ambiance de club La genèse de cet hôtel des années 50/60 est fameuse car il recevait à l'époque bien des personnalités Ne soyons pas seulement des touristes toujours dans une dynamique de critiques, mes soyons attentifs .......

Ho soggiornato 1 settimana ed è perfetto per la posizione centralissima! Molto economico essendo ad 1 stella anche se non troppo pulito, ma la cortesia, la gentilezza e il calore della gestione ripaga di tutto il resto!! Sono stata molto bene! Grazie

如果以一個很低的價格來切入 這是一次還可以的住宿經驗 基本上櫃台人員都能英文溝通，且針對問題能提供有效協助 但是電梯人員和清潔人員則無法以英文溝通 房門和窗戶無法閤起 所以必須以鎖門的方式固定 浴室熱水有限 Wifi還算順暢 早餐是簡單的麵包和佐料及咖啡或茶
