Really nice hotel in a superb location just by the Nile. Busy location so it can be a bit noisy on weekend nights but didn’t impact me at all. Found good restaurants and bars close to the hotel, we ate very good breakfast and dinner at the Geidea, Pottery Bar for food, tea and shisha, everything. For an experience like a local try outdoors Poshenki bar. The Maxim Nile Cruise is not far and even went kayaking as it was only a 2 minute walk from us. There’s a Metro supermarket just opposite, inside the little mall. Ubers to downtown take 15/20 minutes and cost like £2. I am so glad we stayed in Zamalek because it’s less polluted, has the beautiful river and is more modern. The Nile view rooms have got an amazing view. Hotel staff was very accommodating, honest and friendly. It has a pretty restaurant, we only got room service but food was very good and staff very helpful.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Near the Nile, local shops and restaurants. Zamalek is a quiet area
Good staff in a basic, functional hotel.
It’s expensive for a basic place, quite dated and worn out.
Great location makes up for the condition and basic facilities.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Staff was of minimal help to even a senior citizen with a walking stick. So we left - and stayed at jewels zamalek which delivered on all they lacked. The last five minutes upon checkout you saw a couple of nice gestures to signal for a tip. Which was provided to many, but honest with the feedback. Breakfast was mid there, enjoying jewel more - wider variety by far- with much more prepared. And A1 service from moment you walk in. My father insisted we go and he soon realized it’s not like “how it was”.
Location close to sites downtown. Enjoyed balcony with view of Nile and restaurant with Nile view. Good breakfast and shop in hotel.

good 3.5 star hotel. perfect location for walking Zamalek and getting to great restaurants, cafes, and transportation. best you can get on the island. staff is super friendly and helpful, rooms are dated, and breakfast is limited -- but still highly recommend for the location and other options. glad I stayed there.
The Flamenco Hotel is a good alternative when you look for an affordable hotel on the really interesting Gezira Island. The service is very good. The only thing I missed was a pool.
Nice area, friendly staff,
Filthy carpet in the room, outdated furniture that lacks regular cleaning and maintenance.
Not the best Nile view that you are expecting!

Great location.
Too expensive for what they offer. The hotel staff is nice but the management is not as good. The attitude of the security staff is terrible. Breakfast is ok,
I will not go back
Loved it, clean place , the staff is awesome
From the room service lady Karema to all staff.
love that place, walking distance from the Nile and lots of shops and restaurants.
