Inconvenient resort fees when we were unable to use any of the extra "resort" amenities. Pool and hot tub closed too early and were very small. Coffee bar not open early enough. No breakfast included. The hotel bag was cheap. Extra money for parking not great at all. An extra 65$ a day with parking and resort fees. Not worth the price, stayed at another hotel for cheaper with the same amenities in the same area with added FREE snacks and drinks in the room, should've stayed at that hotel again.

this is one of my favourite hotels ever. i highly recommend palm royale to everyone who visits cairns. the staff are all very friendly and helpful and make you feel right at home. rooms are so clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the hotel is just a stones throw away from the raintree shopping centre. palm royale is the perfect place to escape the madness of the city. you will definitely have a good time here, because i always enjoy my stays here :)

My stay at the hotel was marred by the presence of ants in the room. Despite notifying the staff, the issue was not promptly addressed, affecting the overall comfort of the stay. Everything else was ok, the site and pool were wonderful and the staff were generally good. It was just a shame that we experienced this ant problem, as they got into everything, our food, our bed, our toothpaste even our luggage and clothing.

Lovely hotel. Good welcome on arrival. Amazing pools. Only negative is that it is quite out of the way (which we knew when we booked) and next to a busy road (so some road noise). Overall a great value stay.

Rooms were clean and welcoming. Very quiet area especially on New Year’s Eve which was the night we stayed. Pool was lovely and staff was very helpful.

The Palm Royale was a nice stay, the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The pool was huge and really nice. My only issue was that the A/C could not be adjusted / it was either off or on, the temperature couldn’t be controlled, and it was loud. I got too cold in the night with it on but then got too warm when I turned it off. Otherwise, it was a very good stay, and great value. (Tip: eat breakfast at “63”, a cafe within walking distance. It’s excellent.)

10 min drive to the city centre and not much available ard the hotel area except a small mall with some resto and a supermarket Things are clean and new, overall a good choice

This hotel suited us, as only stayed overnight, before catching flight. Clean and comfortable, with great outdoor pools, and only a short taxi trip into central Cairns & airport.

The room was nice and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The pool was quite nice. What I didn’t like was the noise of the cars passing by, which woke me up in mornings. There were also many loud guests. The wifi was also extremely slow and completely unusable. There were also many small things, like the phone in the room not being set up; the vent above the shower being loose, chasing noise in the shower; cleaning people coming in at 9:30 am to clean, which is too early; and flickering light coming in through the (not great) blinds at all times. It is also rather far from the city centre.

Beautiful pool and outdoor area. Reception was helpful with any questions I had and allowed me to store luggage for the day after my stay. Rooms were clean and tidy.

Overall the stay was perfectly nice, the pools were very nice and the staff at reception were great. We found a small cockroach in the room when we first entered, but after that had no issues. There were not many blankets on the bed and had no extras, but that wasn't a big issue for us. There is a small guest lounge area with a microwave and rooms have small fridges but otherwise there's no real amenities besides a small kettle. Room size was good, bed was comfortable, shower was good. Small balcony was cute and nice.

Whole experience was GREAT. Particularly good customer service from Ms Sonsri at reception. The experience was downgraded by the noise created, early mornings and late nights by a group of training conferrence attendees fron the Pacific Islands/New Guinea? Bilong plurry wild fellas them ones. I know you've gotta take a dollar where you can but it was hard to sleep some nights and most mornings.

room & pool very good - clean & well appointed parking fairly poor - no allocated space per room no food options , apart from travel to Colonial Club Resort luckily Raintrees shopping center has Cafe63 - very good menu for breakfast , lunch & dinner overall - comfy & clean - easy to get to the plaxes we wanted to go

Staff were outstanding, really helpful and kind. The room was big and clean although it was tired. The pillows needed replacing and the pool needed repairs, shown by traffic cones around it’s perimeter. Lift in reception was out of order and it was a bit of a trek with heavy bags and 2 kids to the room. Not really a 5 star property in my opinion although for one night it did the job.
