Chateau Le Cagnard

"We just started off our honeymoon with a stay at Chateau La Cagnard, and it was 100% the right decision! The property is romantic, quiet, and gorgeous. Although it’s tucked away, it’s just a short walk from a town square with patio restaurants at the top of the hill, as well as the main city below. We walked everywhere, used the pool, sunbathed on the deck, and ate at the restaurant several times! The staff was wonderful and went above and beyond to make our trip special: they organized beautiful local flowers for our room, and we even got upgraded to a junior suite with a stunning view of the ocean. Highly recommend!"

"We had the room looking right towards the ocean which was beautiful. Room was clean and simply appointed. Pillows are a bit flat so we asked for an extra. Comfortable bed. They have a cute bar and seating area both inside and out — but no bar service. Would be great to have a small happy hour to enjoy the eclectic and pretty setting. When we asked for ice they weren’t too happy but got some from their personal freezer. They have no supplies for the beach like chairs, towels or umbrellas which is helpful for travelers. I asked for an extra bath towel and was told no. One person let us throw some trash in the hotel can but another told us to use the neighboring apartment cans. We could’ve left everything in the room but felt we should clean up ourselves. The hosts were friendly enough as long as you kept within their quirks. Some parking in their small lot which we were fortunate to get a spot most times."

"Tout était parfait; dès notre arrivée: accueil courtois et bienveillant. Le buffet du petit déjeuner était bien garni (fruits, yogourt, céréales, œuf (sous toutes ses formes), grande variété de pain et viennoiseries, etc. La chambre très propre et de bonne taille, avec un balcon avec vue sur la montagne. Parking privé. Aucun reproche. Excellent séjour. Merci."

"Appartamento molto grande , pulito e fresco con un balcone enorme dove si può anche mangiare. Vicinanza al mare e ai servizi principali. Unica criticità: un unico wc nonostante due bagni può essere un limite se si è in 5 come noi. Comunque super consigliato!"

"The overall experience was good. However, communication with the host not so much. It’s not a well equipped home for things such as soap, good linens, pillows, toilet paper, no paper towel etc, There are so many more things the host could do to make it a wonderful experience but did not. It’s extremely noisy which was not good at night for sleeping. The views are good but if I were to come again it’s not a place I’d stay."

"communication is horrible. horrible hours at front desk and could not get a hold of them if i tried. no help with making stay enjoyable. would not stay here again. no AC, extremely loud and thin walls. not a lot of bedding available and no housekeeping or clean towels. really poor stay."
