"We arrived at the Merlin rooms about 2:30 in the afternoon. After ringing the doorbell we were greeted by I lovely young lady. She escorted us to our room on the 2nd floor via a very antique but fully functional elevator. We enjoyed a great afternoon in Cagliari and the stay in our room was very nice other than it was very noidy. It is located opposite the side entrance of the Cagliari main railway station. The room was clean, comfortable and with air conditioning. I would recommend Marlin Rooms to anybody wishing to stay in Cagliari or who have flights from the nearby Elmas Airport if they do not mind the noise from the traffic as Alas, the room we stayed in on the 2nd floor was on the Via Roma side of the building. As the windows were not double glazed, the noise from the traffic did not make for a good nights sleep. Sadly we for this reason only not stay again."

"This is not a hotel. It is a group of rooms, each with an ensuite, that share a common lobby. They have provided everything you need. It's impeccably clean and has a ton of charm. A little tattered walls/paint but not a big deal. Wonderful staff! You have to take the stairs up and then take the lift. Once you leave the lift, you have to go down a flight of stairs again. There is a lot of street noise but it calms down later at night so sleeping was fine. Big TV. Outstanding location, close to shopping, dining and the airport - plus we had a sea view. Would stay again!"
