Good for couples

Great place for a couple. Nice rooms, but little service. However, it has a small kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink. Close to the beach, on a part that sees few people (it's half a mile from a busy spot).

Um agradável fim de semana.

A proposta é inovadora. É como se tivéssemos a nossa casa de praia. O lugar é bonito e bem cuidado. Não há serviço de quarto ou limpeza mas tudo é disponibilizado para se fazer o que for necessário. Os quartos são decorados com bom gosto e os donos são amáveis, solícitos e nos deixam muito a vontade. Agradou a família toda e certamente voltaremos com outros amigos. É preciso carro para ir ao centro de Saquarema mas tem uma praia selvagem e pouco frequentada a dois quarteirões a pé.

Our favorite place in Brazil, by far!

I am so pleased with my stay here that I have to share my experience, such that you may enjoy the stay at Casa Larrosa Itaúna as well. We are a couple from Norway driving from Cabo Frio to Sao Paolo. We came by car during the night without too much expectations. From the pictures the rooms looked nice, but our jaws dropped when we entered the property for the first time. I would guess this is the cleanest, nicest and most stylistic property used as an inn/apartment hotel in whole of Brazil. The property is beautifully layed out with paths of natural stone slabs in various sizes surrounded by grass. In the middle of the property you have a magical area with a pool, bbq and a self serve bar with refreshments. Everything is new and I could easily spend the entire day here (which I did when I was not surfing, SUPing, sightseeing or hiking++). PS: There are some good quality shortboards and a SUP which you can borrow complimentary. I could go on about the outdoor area, but bottom line: it's are absolutely fantastic. Check the photos for proof. The rooms are equally good. Super clean, well furnished and spacious. You even have your own private area in the back with a very nice BBQ. Love it! I really feel at home here. The best part however, is not the perfect place, but the hosts; Gabriel and Alethea. They are the nicest people! They have made us feel at home from day 1 and have been perfect hosts. We really enjoyed your company :) We'll be back!
