New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Native Sun has beautiful views of both the ocean and Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. With 4,000 square feet, Native Sun is located along Buxton's beach and very close to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. The ground level has beach access, a private pool, a hot tub, showers, and a fish-cleaning table.

There are six primary bedrooms with private bathrooms, including one with a roll-in shower/sink; four have deck access. One guest bedroom has access to a semi-private hall bath. A media room/den opens to decking. Topside Native Sun opens to a cathedral ceiling and includes a game table and a professionally decorated living area with a fireplace and an entertainment center. An incredible kitchen with a wet bar, double fridges, dishwashers, and nearby ocean views, and a dining area should satisfy the most demanding chefs.

Good location and nice to have an elevator! Hot water works great. Nice to have a king bed in 7 of the 8 bedrooms that were nicely arranged. Also liked the large sitting area on the third floor and the views of the ocean.

Absolutely Perfect

Our stay at Native Sun provided us with one of the best vacation experiences we’ve had in OBX. The house was absolutely beautiful, clean, and met all of our groups needs. The kitchen was well stocked and items listed as broken or needing improvements in previous post were all fixed. The location of the property provided super easy beach access which we utilized every day. We absolutely loved our stay at Native Sun!!

House was wonderful had plenty of room it wasn't waterfront but good enough. The waves are loud enough that it makes it seem like you are right on the beach. Pool was perfect. Im still giving it a 5 star because my only complaint was the misinformation about trash pickup

Family getaway

Had a wonderful time. The house fit the 14 of us beautifully. We had all the things we needed. Would stay there again. The elevator a d heated pool were a definite plus. Loved the great room on the third floor. Lots of light and great views.

Location was great.. Amenities could be improved...elevator did not work...not reported prior to arrival causing difficulty for seniors with limited transit of steps...also additional cleaning defitely needed.. Some appliances need repair

Great location for our families

This house is great for a large family (8+) vacation. Space to accommodate all, great amenities, view of the iconic lighthouse right from the deck, and of course the beach! This was our second time in a row renting this house over the 4th of July week. Despite being probably the most popular week of the summer, Buxton still feels quiet and not too crowded. Including plenty of space on the beach and in the ocean. So you don’t feel on top of other families. We also MUCH preferred our experience with Vacasa to the prior property managers (a local realty that poster through VRBO). Place was clean and all set up on arrival, and check out was super easy. I’d recommend this place to other interested families.

overall everything was good, Would stay there again, having the elevator was a big plus, Only had a couple minor issues, 1. prior house cleaning was not all that great, There was trash and food still under furniture, 2. dishwasher did not work good ended up had to hand wash all dishes 3. there were light bulbs out

Old and Filthy.

Only thing about this house good was the distance to the beach. We have been coming to OBX for 17 years and this house was filthy. I was embarrassed that I took friend there and they seen this!! Pool heater only Worked 3 days. I sent several pictures to Vacessa. Things were literally breaking and my bedroom and bathroom smelled like cat pee!! I will never book threw here again we are already booked for a house next year that we have stayed at before lesson learned!!

Disappointed

We have been going to Cape Hatteras NC for 20+ years and have enjoyed this house, however over time they have not spent the time to do the necessary upgrades. This house could be beautiful, but it is run down, old, equipment is failing like dishwashers and not operational, decks are not sturdy, hot tub handles broken, shower doors are broken and do not slide, trash everywhere in yard, yard unkept, need insect treatment as we found insects in the house, tv’s have no directions and had no service, and sadly enough the walk way to the beach was roped off! Just a few problems here! I hope someone pays attention and fixes, upgrades and cleans this house.

Allowing the house to fall apart

I've been staying in this house 12 of the last 15 years. Started out as a wonderful vacation but over the years the house has gone down drastically in quality ie All the beds need mattress replacement, both stoves are in very rough condition, both microwaves are broken and halfway work. The sectional couch has collapsed but not repaired or replaced. Both coffee pots are crap that's why I bring my own. I've told former Hatteras Realty in person, writing and in person. Now VACASA is handling the rental so of course last April 2021 I again made the office aware of the issues. Fast forward to this week all the same issues PLUS 916.00 price increase for 2023 and ANTS!!!!!! Not going back screw VACASA. By the way this is a short list of issues. Roy Shumaker

Not what i expected from Hatteras Realty

One Major factor in our house was the elevator. On our day of arrival we were told a part needed to be ordered and they could not determine when it would be shipped. After call the office we were told the Elevator had been having trouble for a while and hope it would make it thru the season. If they knew that it was broken we should have been notified before we arrived and then we might have been able to work something out. Also 4 TV's did not work out of 8. One toilet had to be fix by us and lights were hanging from the ceiling fan in two rooms by the light wires. This is not the experience I have had with Hatteras Realty in the past. Hope with Vacasa this is not going to be future in renting from Hatteras Realty. They did issued a credit for the elevator, but that did not help with the need for an elevator. It was a necessity on our part.
