Hummingird Road Cabins is located in the heart of Southern Illinois Wine Country, just off the beaten path. Down a quiet road with the beauty of Southern Illinois and the Shawnee National Forest surrounding us.
Whether you need a quiet getaway for the weekend with no hassles, or just a place to sleep after touring Southern Illinois Wine Country, we will do our best to accommodate you.

Hummingbird Road Cabin offers a quiet place in the woods to enjoy Southern Illinois from, or just stay on the property and enjoy catching some fish in the pond. We have 23 acres of woods to walk around in as well, with much wildlife around. Deer, owls, hummingbirds, squirrels, woodpeckers and eagles are just some of the wildlife we our often blessed with.

Comfort: At Hummingbird Road Cabin, we want you to feel at home, and that means being comfortable where you are. This is a rural area, very quiet, in the woods, if that sounds good to you then please come check us out. I live across the pond on the hill, if there is something you are missing or if we can do more to make your stay a better one, please let us know.

Perfect girls’ trip

We have stayed with Geloria several times, and each time is even better than the last! If you’re looking for a peaceful spot to relax and recharge, this is it. The cabin is quaint, cute, clean, and stocked with all the essentials. We had the privilege of watching the first hummingbirds of the season. Geloria is the perfect host, and look forward to staying here again!

Cozy cabin

Hummingbird Cabin was ther perfect place for us. We were looking for a quiet getaway for me to unwind from a stressfull job. This cabin is cozy. Its so quiet and perfect for just reading on the deck and listening to the wildlife. Will comeback again.

Had another fantastic stay at the hummingbird cabin. Just stayed for a couple days this time for a little r & r. Fished the pond and caught some nice fish. Did a little hiking also. Enjoyed the hot tub.

Thank you for hosting us at your lovely cabin for our anniversary weekend! We truly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and all the thoughtful touches that made our stay so relaxing. You provided everything we needed, and we felt right at home. Your kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The owners are nearby but very respectful of privacy. A tip for future guests: be careful not to miss the driveway on your way in. We had a wonderful time and hope to visit again in the future!P.S. Great Girls’ Getaway

We’ve been coming back to this cabin for a girls’ getaway for the past few years. The cabin is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We spend most of the time sitting on the deck and enjoying the sights and sounds of the pond. The cabin is equipped with everything you need, and weave always found it to be clean and well-maintained. Visiting with the host us one of our favorite parts!

Wonderful anniversary

Girls Weekend

Weekend getaway and the cabin was amazing and perfect! Everything was great. We loved the hot tub and enjoyed having breakfast on the back deck. There are many winery’s close by and lots of good hiking too. Couldn’t have been a more perfect weekend! Host was super sweet and accommodating! Would recommend to friends and would book again! Good fishing. No insects to bother us. The cabin needs e deep cleaning. Very quiet and peaceful. Needed more than 2 and 1/2 rolls of toilet paper for 2 people for 4 days.
