"My partner Arron and I stayed at Equipoise Resort & Spa, originally just for one night, but we loved it so much that we ended up extending our stay for an extra night. The villas are beautiful and incredibly picturesque, surrounded by nature and so quiet. We booked a couples massage and had dinner and breakfast at the resort, and everything was excellent. The food, the atmosphere and the level of care from the staff all stood out. A huge thank you to Degung and the entire team, who were so attentive, warm and thorough throughout our stay. "The staff were so amazing the absolute best part they made the trip so amazing. I can’t remember all the amazing staff but I remember Ayu, Wulan, Yoga,Septiari,Sutiass, Lidya, and Indra. "

"Most rooms had a musty smell and it was hard to find one that didn’t. Restaurant is ok but nothing to write home about. It’s extremely isolated so you’re a bit stuck if the on-site restaurant is not to your liking. Most difficult part was the noise of the on-site OSHO meditation retreat. Expect to be woken up some mornings around 6:00 or 6:30 am by loud tribal drumming and primal screams. Other mornings will be different forms of music and chanting but always something. If you’re a morning person, that’s great (maybe). I’m not and it was difficult, to say the least. Staff were great, though, and the views were amazing. Most of the waterfalls in the area of Ubud are clustered around this place, including two of the best - Kanto Lampo and Tukad Cepung. If the rooms were renovated to eliminate the mustiness and the OSHO retreat was moved out, I would recommend it as a remote getaway option."
