The staff at this hotel were the best. Young, intelligent, and very welcoming. They answered all our questions and were very likeable. The breakfast was perfect. The beds were REALLY comfortable.

The location of this hotel is ideal for exploring central Buenos Aires. Obelisk, Teatro Colon, Casa Rosada etc. are all within easy walking distance. Entry to the hotel is controlled by a doorman so we always felt safe and secure within the building. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the staff were always friendly and helpful.

Safe area, even I checked in at 11:50pm due to flight arrival time, it was safe. The door man was still on duty and opened the door for me and check in at reception was cheerful. The room is clean. bed sheets clean and fresh. Only the towels are old, need to be replaced.

Many Normal IBIS Services Lacking

I have stayed at many IBIS locations over the past 20 years so I am familiar with what to normally expect. GOOD: Excellent location, very near to Florida and Lavalle Streets and about a quarter mile from the Obelisk. Staff friendly especially the doormen who are very helpful. Negative: This IBIS has no laundry service, very inconvenient. Restaurant is not up to typical IBIS standards. Not worth eating breakfast here also it cost much more than IBIS normal costs, restaurant for lunch and dinner only serves things like sandwiches. Bathroom a mess, floor floods easily not proper drainage. My sink would hardly drain, reported it 3 times, improved some but still had issues. Also difficult for taxi's to find, sign out front not very visible. Would I stay here again, no, too many other hotels nearby at around the same price that will provide better cost/benefit ratio. Not a bad place, just not up to normal IBIS quality standards.

One elevator was broken down so one had to wait for up to 10 during busy times. Rooms lacked amenities such as sufficient towels, chairs, tissues, extra pillows. The shower was very slippery, which would have been helped with a shower mat. The location was ver central, which was nice, but rooms facing the front were noisy. There was no food available, aside from breakfast. Breakfast was good, but very crowded. Staff had trouble keeping up with the supply of plates, cutlery and some food items.

What can I say!?! I LOVED my stay here. So convenient to Florida Street. Easy walking distance to Plaza de Mayo and the Colon theatre. Staff were fabulous and so very helpful. Will stay again.
