Stylish rural retreat with king-size comfort, close to Bude's stunning coastline

A stylish first floor rural retreat for two, offering peace and quiet with king size comfort, ideal for exploring unspoilt North Cornwall and Devon with beaches and an amazing coastline nearby. The popular seaside town of Bude is only nine miles away and stunning National Trust beaches are within easier reach.
This converted Victorian Corn Store blends character, comfort, and a contemporary finish. It is a light and spacious apartment offering couples the perfect getaway, with good Wi-Fi, a luxurious king-size bed, walk-in shower, wood burner, and unspoilt views over the valley from the mezzanine after a day of relaxation or exploring.
Unwind in the peaceful surroundings and reconnect with the natural world.
After a lovely night’s sleep in the king-size bed, start your day with a refreshing shower in the en-suite shower room with underfloor heating, and have your breakfast on the balcony, which catches the morning sun. If you just want to relax indoors you have a fully equipped kitchen, cosy wood-burning stove, and 43” Smart TV in the open plan living area. On the mezzanine level you can enjoy a hot drink or complete a jigsaw looking over our wildlife pond and valley beyond. You might see deer, geese, moorhens, or cattle in our field with the binoculars we provide for guests. This is no longer a working farm but a local farmer rents our large rear field for his Stabiliser breed of cattle: we love it when the calves are frolicking around in the Spring.
You should be aware, that due to the steep external steps up to the front door, this apartment is not suitable for guests with mobility issues. Parking is conveniently located right next to the Corn Store. A car is essential for exploring the surrounding countryside and towns.
We provide a wealth of information so that you can get the most out of your well-earned break. This includes our own guide covering places to eat and visit, the best local walks – many circular ones from our farm - beaches, and hidden gems. There’s a separate utility room in the courtyard with washing machine and detergent, tumble drier, and additional freezer space if you need it.
We love welcoming guests from near and far, with the aim that that they return home with great memories of their stay here.

We had a fabulous week staying at the Corn Store, so good we did not want to return home! The apartment is very well equipped and furnished to a high standard. There are local walks you can do from the Corn Store but if you want to travel further afield the location is excellent for exploring Devon and Cornwall. Would recommend the local Farmers Market on Sunday mornings - we picked up some nice local produce.Riki was a great host and very knowledgeable about the local area.

The Corn Store has everything you require, is well maintained, clean and well laid out. Riki and Martin were excellent hosts full of useful information and available if required.The location suited our requirements as we enjoy walking, sightseeing and the coast. Lovely Hideaway

Great place in a great location

Lovely property with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts were so helpful and friendly, there if we needed them and really knowledgeable about the area. The property feels peaceful but is so close to lots of attractions and beautiful walks, beaches, places to eat etc. Nearby Bude is a real gem. Would absolutely recommend the Corn Store, we loved our stay.

Beautifully converted old corn store. The owners have thought of everything, making our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Great hosts, very friendly and helpful. Would definitely book again if visiting the same area in future.

Fabulous holiday at the Corn Store

This was our third visit to the corn store. As with previous visits the corn store was just perfect. The location is peaceful and relaxing, well equipped with every thing you need and very comfortable. The hosts are welcoming, friendly and very informative with local knowledge. Really comfortable spacious property.

The Corn Store has been beautifully designed. All furniture and fittings appear new and of good quality.It is very clean and well-equipped, with comfortable bed and seating. There are so many beautiful areas nearby- we ran out of time to visit them all. Riki and Martyn were welcoming and helpful and really deserve the 5 stars!

Another wonderful stay at the Corn Store

Our sixth year staying at the Corn Store - what better endorsement can I provide? Riki and Martyn maintain the property to an excellent standard and are very welcoming and helpful hosts. The property is well appointed, with all the facilities that you could want for a holiday let. The Corn Store is located on a farm near to the main A39 trunk road. Excellent and easy access to the whole North Cornwall coast, and only a short drive from some excellent beaches and from the Coat Path. It really is a superb holiday location - highly recommended and thanks again to Martyn and Riki for our latest memorable stay.

Cosy home from home

Greatly enjoyed my stay The Corn Store. The apartment was spotless and every small detail had been thought of; it was incredibly cosy and comfortable. The beautiful views and log fire were such a treat. Riki was amazing and had provided so much detailed information on the area. I essentially worked my way through a list of her recommendations and had great fun exploring nearby towns and coastal walks. The Corn Store was also the perfect place for a solo getaway, to get some peace and quiet to relax, and to get some writing done. I would highly recommend and will visit again!

Fantastic property, fantastic hosts!

The Corn Store is beautifully laid out and perfect for two with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Little touches like dishwasher tablets, washing powder to tea bags along with a welcome pack of milk, bread, biscuits and fresh eggs from the hens make this property excellent value for money. Riki and Martin are friendly and helpful without being intrusive and shared their wide knowledge of the area and local events, including the rig regatta at Clovelly. The Corn Store is located perfectly for accessing the main attractions of North Devon and East Cornwall. We will definitely be back again!

Charming first floor apartment in ideal central location

We loved staying at the corn store! It’s situated right on the Devon/ Cornwall border in a quiet hamlet, with good access to the A39 making it the ideal location for day trips by car. The property was a true home from home; clean and well equipped with everything you need, kitchen utensils, bedding etc. There’s laundry facilities shared with the other property there that were a massive help on our 2 week stay. Our hosts were very welcoming and showed us around on our arrival and were happy to chat and made us feel as friends throughout our stay which was lovely. Bubbles the cat was lovely too! The property has a folder with loads of info and suggestions the hosts have tried and recommended which was a brilliant starting point to planning our days out. Overall an amazing little gem of a property in a great central location.

Cosy retreat as a starting point for fantastic excursions

It all started with a friendly welcome from Riki, our landlady. She provided information about everything, and there was a wealth of information material in the Corn Store about all the sights in the near and far surroundings. The holiday home is perfectly equipped, everything is of the latest standard and very new. The bathroom and kitchen are spotlessly clean and Riki and Martin have provided milk, water and eggs for a good start. Tea and coffee are also available en masse. Bed linen and towels also very nice and soft - they are replaced after a week if necessary. The bed itself is very comfortable, but also very cosy. It's an advantage if you get on well with your bedfellow... Shopping facilities in Killhampton (well-stocked Coop) and Bude (large supermarket: Morrisons). There are plenty of excursions available - the coast is not far away. Highly recommended: Bude beach and Sandymouth Bay. A must: Hartland Quay in windy weather... We really enjoyed our time and went on lots of excursions. Always happy to return and a big thank you to Riki and Martin for this gem.

Immaculate gem in Bude!

My wife & I have just returned home having spent 3 nights at the Corn Store conversion in Woolley nr Bude. A warm & friendly welcome on arrival from Martin. He was really helpful in giving us an introduction to the accommodation. The accommodation itself is in pristine condition. We both said on the way home that it is the cleanest place we have stayed in and it is testament to the hard work that both Riki & Martin put in to keep it in such high standards. There is everything you need to have a peaceful and relaxing stay. The kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans and utensils. There was enough wood for us to use the wood burner over the 3 nights of our stay. The highlight of the place was the shower. It is superb. A choice of two different shower heads with a huge cubicle to wash in. It was so nice! The mezzanine floor of the place was really lovely too with seating to take in the views of the Cornish countryside. The whole atmosphere of the accommodation was warm, cosey and a place we both wanted to spend time in. It's location is brilliant too. Only a 4-5 minute drive to the village of Kilkhampton and about 12 - 15 minutes drive to the town and beach of Bude. We cannot recommend the Corn Store enough. It is a place that my wife & I wanted to spend time in and one we could relax in. The 10 out 0f 10 clean sweep of reviews on here says it all. It was the reviews that sold it to us both to book our three nights away there. We will be returning for sure.

Comfortable stay and amazing scenery

Wonderful!!!

Thank you for a wonderful time at the Corn Store. The cottage was outstanding, a lovely and premium place, furnished to modern and high standards, quietly situated in the breathtaking landscape of northern Cornwall. We nearly felt at home. Moreover, Riki and Martin were marvellous hosts, taking care of us in every necessary way. Fabulous Holiday

This was our fourth visit to this beautiful Corn Store. It is a very special place to stay. It is quiet, spotless, comfortable, has everything you need and is set in wonderful countryside. Riki and Martin are the perfect hosts, they have local knowledge to share and are always there to help. If visiting north Cornwall, this is the perfect place to stay. You can guarantee a good nights sleep on the really comfortable bed. We highly recommend the Corn Store and we will definitely be visiting again.
