Short stay vacation - Budapest

I personally enjoyed the heritage of the building and the antiquity. My room 15 was well pointed, large and 2 windows. The breakfast was sufficient to get your day started. Felt like a safe area and good walking distance to main attractions.

We stayed for my Husband's Birthday and our Wedding Anniversary and I couldn't speak more highly of all the staff and the ambiance of the hotel. Maybe one small thing would be to have a grab rail on the deluxe baths and a hook for the shower! A small glass of bubbles with Breakfast was the icing on the cake, well it would be rude not too when you are celebrating! 10 out of 10 guys, you were superb.

We would stay there again.

We were in a no-window room. It was fine. Very quiet. The service was great with them handling a couple special requests. Loved the entry. Only minor thing is the mattress seemed a little old. Overall very good. We would go back again.

There’s some rooms in the hotel that don’t have window. How come? The breakfast is great but the rooms are awful. No Windows no fan no airconditioning. It like you are inside of box. When you take a shower it’s so hot and humid inside the room that you have to open the door or you will die.

Trevligt hotell med gammal atmosfär. Lugn miljö.Torrt bröd till frukosten, som i övrigt var bra. Rekommenderas om man vill ha en avkopplad semester.

Alt i alt en ok oplevelse men det lever ikke op til 4 stjerner. Beliggenheden er dog god, tæt på det meste. Indkøbscenter er lige i nærheden og 2-3 min hen til metro, letbane og busser. Ved ankomst fik vi tildelt værelse nr. 1 som viste sig at ligge lige ud til gade hjørnet hvor der åbenbart var rimelig meget trafik/støj, også om natten kl. 04.00.Så det var ikke meget søvn vi fik første nat og udover det var sengene virkelig hårde. Næste morgen henvendte vi os i receptionen og fortalte dem, at vi var blevet forstyrret mange gange i løbet af natten, her var personalet dog venlige og forsøgte at finde en løsning på trods af, at hotellet næsten var fuldt booket op til nytår. Vi fik tildelt et nyt værelse også i stuen men på modsatte side så vi nu lå ud til en gård, det var vi som udgangspunkt meget tilfredse med for her var helt stille, hvad vi bare ikke var blevet fortalt var at værelset var koldere end normalt. Da vi så skulle sove var der RIGTIG koldt, så vi måtte igen ud og tale med personalet, som så gav os en mindre radiator vi kunne varme rummet op med, dermed blev dette problem også løst. Morgenmaden var ok, der var lidt for en hver smag. Rengøringen kunne godt være bedre, der hang støv ned i hjørnerne fra loftet på badeværelset.

Great location and spacious rooms

Cotton House Hotel is located in a central area of Budapest, near WestEnd Shopping mall. The rooms are very charming and spacious. I would definitely recommend staying there for a weekend trip. If i planned a longer trip, i would want more selection at the buffet breakfast - especially for the price. All in all, the hotel was a great find and a lovely place to stay at.

centre of the city,just off the main street quiet

Old -world "charm" theme of yesteryear artists and performers decor and settings across the hotel effective and not kitchy certainly not a usual hotel in that it is not part of a modern hotel chain I must point out 1 small glitch..the spa tub in the room had a dirt ring around the edge where it joins the base.the spa/air inlets are is not very strong so expect just water movement.Breakfasts as in many European hotels of this type were good,however nothing changed day to day the same.nicely presented,fresh and appealing,apart from the bread for the toaster...stale all of the 4 breakfasts i spent there.the airconditioner in the room had just flowing air,no true airconditioning.other than these points,i fully recommend it -value for money

Good stay. No huge issues.

Room was fine for what I paid. I was solo, and only need the room to sleep and shower. It was fine. Wish I was put in a room away from the outside construction. I would have paid more, or taken a downgrade. Breakfast was fine. No issues. Lady who checked me in was very friendly... even asked me if I was going to be cold going out in short sleeves.
