By car, you can easily reach the enchanting city of Siena with its world-famous piazza, the Campo (40 km), where the characteristic Palio horse race takes place on 2 July and 16 August, as well as Arezzo (30 km) with its historic centre, the Piazza Grande and the frescoes by Piero della Francesca in the church of San Francesco. You can also reach the city centre of the beautiful cultural city of Florence directly by train from Montevarchi (13 km).
