Nothing fancy, but a cozy & comfortable 2 bedroom cabin 5 miles west of Bryson City and convenient to area attractions such as Deep Creek National Park and tubing, Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, Fontana Lake fishing and water sports, Nantahala River whitewater rafting and kayaking, Harrahs Casino, Cherokee museums and shows, area shopping, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Mingus Mill, and fishing on the reservation and area rivers.

Very comfy & clean mountain cottage. Went through 7 bundles of wood because the fireplace was so enjoyable. Look forward to a return trip!

Sunset View

The cabin was a nice hideaway for the weekend. We were there to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary, and we had a great time. We even took it old school and watched a movie on VHS! Lol The fact that dogs are allowed is a nice touch. The beds could definitely use some new mattresses and are fulls (not queens), but other than that the place was clean and as described. We would stay again.

Far from the maddening crowd

We were blown away with the setting, far enough from the beaten path that all you could hear was the wind in the trees. The sunsets and sunrises were to die for. There were many places within driving distance that you could visit if the quietude of sunsets and sunrises are not enough.

Clean, rustic, quiet, but bad beds

The place was clean, and had everything I needed but a good nights sleep. The beds were as hard as a rock. This could be easily remedied with a good 3 or 4 inch matress topper. I ended up leaving a day early because I was sleeping on the couch due to the terrible bed. Otherwise the fire ring was nice outside and it is very peaceful at the property. It rained and I sat out on the porch and watched and listened to the storm which was relaxing. There is a sweet view of the sunset/mountains across the road. The A/C worked well and there is a beautiful stone wood burning fireplace that I am sure makes the place cozy in the winter. FIX THE BEDS!

This is my 3rd or 4th time staying at this particular cabin. It's nothing fancy but provides a perfect quiet getaway with a great view that is minutes from town.

The property itself is in need of updating as others mentioned, but overall we had an enjoyable stay. We got some good rest, and it was quit and peaceful. Had everything we needed.

Nice and secluded. May need a few updates. Shower head was really low. First time I've ever had to take my own trash to the recycle center, if not I would receive an additional fee.

We only stayed one night because the toilet was not working. We left the next morning before the owner came to fix the toilet.The owner was very understanding and gave us a refund for the other 2 nights we had booked. He was very nice!

Check in was very easy, place was easy to find, and the owner was very responsive. The house was stocked with everything i needed and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of cookware and utensils, i didnt even have to unpack my own. Theres no wifi and a pretty sizable vhs and dvd collection, which was exactly what i needed, i think at one point i went 3 whole days without even looking at my phone other than to check the time.

A bit off the beaten path so getting there the first time felt challenging. The directions worked though. The place is super quiet, which we loved. Neighbors next door are quiet so that was good. And our cat loved the place. In the pre trip email it stated that we needed to bring our own soaps, toilet paper, paper towels, etc, but everything was provided so that was a nice surprise. A less pleasant surprise was that we had to take our garbage to the dump, and it wasn't until we got to the garbage center that we found out we were supposed to have separated plastics, etc. As pointed out by lots of reviews, the place needs work. All in though we had a good stay. Love Bryson city and look forward to visiting there again soon.
