Welcome to Pier Serenity Cottage at 106 Strachan Lane! This beautiful custom-built 4 bedroom / 4.5 bathroom oceanfront home is one of our many St. Simons Island rentals with a private pool and has direct views of the Atlantic Ocean, Jekyll Island, and the St. Simons Pier that will take your breath away. Guests of this oceanfront retreat only have a short five-minute walk to the St. Simons Pier Village Area which is home to the best shopping and restaurants on St. Simons Island. Beach access down Strachan Lane is 200' from the front door of the home. Please note that the beach is accessible only during low to mid tides.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount of $50/night is included in each reservation. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and even experiences with select vendors! – the choice is yours!

The main living area on the second floor features an open floor plan from the kitchen to the dining room to the living room which all have access to the expansive porch with amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean. The Chef's kitchen has everything for guests to prepare any meal that they desire during their stay. Between the Butler's Pantry and Kitchen, guests will enjoy an oversized gas range, oven, wine refrigerator, beverage refrigerator, ice maker, two dishwashers, and a full-size refrigerator. The first of two built-in gas grills is located just off of the kitchen on the main living porch.

The Dining Room has seating for up to 8 and the bar will seat an additional two guests. The Living Room is the perfect place for guests to relax on the large sectional leather sofa while taking in the views of the Atlantic Ocean or watching the game on the 55" HD Smart TV.

On the Ground Floor, guests will exit to the backyard through a large porch with plenty of seating overlooking the pool and waves crashing on the beach below. The perfectly sized saltwater pool also has a hot tub/spa for guests to enjoy. The pool and spa can be heated for an additional fee of $45 / night. Lounge chairs by the pool and on the large sun deck by the waterfront are a great place to escape and unwind while watching the large ships pass by through the St. Simons Sound. A second built-in gas grill is located next to the pool area. With lush, tropical landscaping in the backyard, guests will be treated to a private escape while taking in all the views.

As guests ascend to the third floor where all three bedrooms and full bathrooms are located, tropical murals surround you on the stairway walls of this unique home and make you feel like you have escaped to the Florida Keys. The oversized Primary Bedroom / Suite has a king-size bed with views of the Atlantic Ocean through the sliding doors. The Primary Bathroom will blow you away with a custom shower system and double vanity.

Guest Bedroom #1 also features a king-size bed and an en suite full bathroom with a shower. Guest Bedroom #2 has two twin beds as well as a full-size bathroom with a tub/shower with a jetted tub. A full-service elevator is available for use between all three levels of this home.

Beautiful property

We enjoyed our time in St Simons! The property is right on the ocean with gorgeous views. The beach is not right in front of the property but is only a 5 minute walk away and is fabulous for walking and/ riding bikes on. The town and pier are also only a couple minutes walk from the property. The communication with the host was great in that they were very responsive and helped us with a few requests in a timely and courteous manner. They seemed to really care that we had everything we needed for a nice trip. Thank you.

Tranquil Setting on the Georgian Coast

The home and its many amenities, along with a fantastic view of the ocean provided a first class way to relax. Highly complimentary of the heated pool/spa and the beautiful bedrooms on the third floor. My wife rated the kitchen 10 stars as well as the walks on the beach! We would recommend this property, and hopefully we'll be able to visit again in the near future.

Paradise

This property is beautiful. It is so relaxing to be so close to the ocean but staying comfortable floating in the pool or sipping wine or coffee from the deck. One thing to note- there is no beach access from the house, but there is one very close. At this end of the island, there is very little beach, and it is only accessible at low tide. Not a worry during my trip since none of us could tear ourselves away from the pool!

Beautiful Beach House

We had a little hiccup in the beginning of our Vaca to St. Simon's Island. When we arrived on Friday it seemed like the place wasn't aired out for a while with how musty/stuffy the downstairs and the closets were. We aired out the home and by Saturday afternoon it was not really noticeable anymore. I'd like to add I'm pretty sensitive to mold. I spoke to the property manager he was really nice and credited us one night back. But aside from that, the layout of the home, the views, the landscaping this place is beautiful. It's so close to downtown we walked to the park and for ice cream. There's lots of board games, the pool is a perfect size for a family of 5 as well. The beach in front of the property during low tide has lots of crabs and sea life hiding in the rocks, which keeps the little ones entertained. They have miniature golf, a splash pad and a park downtown too. I recommend doing a fishing charter with Captain Shawn, really nice guy. You can catch big sharks and whitings, it's great way to spend the day.

Beautiful house

This place was beautiful and very accommodating to my family. The view and pool were so serene. We enjoyed the full kitchen! So beautiful! We did have a complaint about the landscaping being done during our stay.. without notice… this got grass on our towels and swimsuits we had drying on the lawn chairs and grass all in the pool we had to make sure they would clean out and we had a few remotes for curtains/tvs and some light switches that didn’t work. We enjoyed relaxing at the house more than anything. Tried Jekyll Island beach which was wonderful, but when we were getting ready to leave the house, I attempted to wash and dry our clothes. I noticed sand built up in the washer a little before, but when I tried to dry our clothes— they wouldn’t dry… no more then very damp. I did a small load of swimsuits that went through a drying cycle 3 times and didn’t do more than make them not dripping wet (after 5 hours in the dryer), I had to pack all of our wet clothes in trash bags to put in our suitcases and rewash everything at home. So the house is beautiful, but it needs some appliances tended too.

Beautiful home in great location

We enjoyed our stay in July 2024. Our family was in town for a family reunion. The house is in a great location. It is not as close to the commerce centers as it looks on the map -- there is no direct route to the pier. One has to walk or drive around. The bicycles provided by the owner we very appreciated. The electric air pump was a nice touch. House and pool are spectacular -- custom finishes and gorgeous materials. They have held up well to rental use. Showing some signs of wear & tear, but not an issue generally. AC and ceiling fans were awesome. Not on a sand beach and not set up to access the beach on low tide. That's okay because it was disclosed ahead of time. If you want to walk out to sand, this is not the place. Would definately go back! Thank you.

Nothing short of perfect.

This home was the perfect base for us while vacationing on St. Simons Island. Just perfect. Everything was clean and in great shape. This was our first vacation since my husband, and children's father, passed away. I was a bit anxious hoping it would go well. We felt comfortable and safe the entire time. Myself and my boys had the most wonderfully relaxing time. We loved the pool the most! We did a beach walk everyday, collecting shells and watching all the crabs. We loved watching the birds and the dolphins playing, and the large flocks of pelicans overhead daily. We were a short distance from the downtown area, and all it had to offer. Thank you so much for hosting us. We all immensely enjoyed our stay. We'll be back. :)
