Bear Cabin: Charming 2-bedroom cabin with WiFi, AC in marvelous Sebec

10/10 Excellent
"I loved my stay at Bear Camp! The cabin was beautiful, bright, airy, and extremely clean. It was well-designed to have everything you need, with great little details like a night-light at the bottom of the stairs and lots of wall hooks to hang up outdoor gear. The area was quiet and private, without being secluded (there is a 2nd cabin on the lot and neighbors through the trees, including the host), which was perfect for my solo stay. I especially appreciated that kayaks and a well-stocked fire pit were provided. I had a great time exploring the lake in one of the kayaks, which you can easily do directly in front of the cabin. I also enjoyed hiking and swimming in Peaks-Kenny State Park (about 30 min. drive away), and it was an easy 20-min. drive from the cabin to get to a grocery store, post office, etc. in the town of Dover-Foxcroft. Brad was a fantastic host, and this cabin was exactly what I was hoping for to have a relaxing getaway in nature. I couldn't have been happier! I'm hoping to stay here again in the next year or two."

Escape to Howie's Camp: Unwind and Recharge at This Lakefront Log Cabin

Escape to Howie's Camp: Unwind and Recharge at This Lakefront Log Cabin

10/10 Excellent
"Howie’s camp was fantastic. Camp is right next to the water, with a great view. Tim’s cove seems to be quieter than other parts of the lake which was a pleasant surprise. Additionally, the wind doesn’t seem to impact the cove nearly as much as it does in other areas. We’re a family of six and a dog and we had plenty of space. The kids loved the loft area upstairs and they had fun exploring the short trail in the woods. The groundwork they’ve done is an added bonus. We brought our 18 foot speed boat. The camp road is a bit rough for a big fiber glass boat, but we managed. If we visit again I may put in at the marina simply for peace of mind. The boat launch beside the property is plenty deep for launching, but backing a trailer down was quite the team building activity for the wife and I. The floating dock worked to tie off on and we didn’t have any trouble. We were fortunate that the lake was pretty much glass all week long. The cove on the far side was my back up plan if I needed to escape a heavy wind which I think would have worked well. The kids fished, swam, paddle boarded, and tubed sun up to sun down. The view of sunrise over the lake is well worth getting up for. There were a couple of otters playing in the small cove off to the right of the cabin our first morning there which was fun to watch. We barely heard or saw another person all week which was just what the doctor ordered. Would happily visit Howie’s again!"

Four Season House - Lake Frontage with Four Kayaks & Dock

10/10 Excellent
"Great location and a great property. We had a wonderful time. The big back deck was a wonderful place to sit enjoy being on Sebec.I rented a boat but could not dock at property because of weeds and low water of the lake. This was a large pontoon boat. A small fishing boat would work. Overall I would come back again. Please note I am very familiar with Sebec Lake.Wonderful time!!"

Hiking, paddling haven! Free Boats, Shared Bath & Sauna, Private Cabin

Hiking, paddling haven! Free Boats, Shared Bath & Sauna, Private Cabin

10/10 Excellent
"It's a cabin in the middle of the woods, as long as you read the emails and pay attention there isn't any surprises. Bathrooms are outhouses but there is a communal a cabin with bathrooms showers with hot water staff is around during the day, the cabin are clean and warm, as long as you are responsible with food critters aren't a problem. It adds a bit of luxury to camping in the sticks. Being in the dark sky zone makes for amazing stargazing. That being said this place isn't a place to bring grandma in a wheelchair, this place is for the adventurous. 20 miles of dirt road from the nearest town and once you get there its all dirt and gravel paths."
