Beautiful location
The house is situated in a beautiful location, tucked up against the hillside with privacy and lovely views. It is spacious and good for groups of friends of multiple families.
The property was as described in the online description. There were a few things that could use some attention. Overall, a great property, large enough for the family to be together as well as have separate quiet time in smaller groups. Definitely has earned its name a "A Place of Peace & Quiet".
We had a great time. This is our second time staying at this house. Plenty of Bedrooms and each one is large and comfortable. Love the large family room with a Fire Place. We spent most of our time here hanging out and playing games. The Kitchen was well-equipped and easy to manage. We skied at Okemo which is only half an hour away. There are several good restaurants and Harpoon Brewery, all within a 15-minute drive.
The property provided our family of 7 with a very quiet and enjoyable experience. The layout was well done and the garage main access was very convenient. The house was very clean and tidy.

Lots of space in beautiful area
The house is nice and spacious with lots of privacy. The recliners in the family room were absolutely the best for relaxing in and enjoying games and TV as a group. We’ll miss those comfy chairs! A few things could use refreshing, such as the comforter in the kids room (had a small blood stain on it) and one bed in a guest room was unusually firm but overall, a very nice house. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we were back in the area.

Relaxing week in the mountains!
Me and my family had a great time at this home in Brownsville. It was peaceful and relaxing and had all the amenities we needed. We always appreciate a quiet home as we have young kids and you could get away to the bedrooms without bothering the rest of the party, which was great. The wifi works great but there is no cell service. It didn't bother me but a few people in our group were unhappy with that. We'd stay here again in a second!
We had a really nice weekend at this house. We were in the area for a wedding and enjoyed wonderful down time at the house. There were a few small issues that needed some attention (bathroom sink fixtures) and I noted them to the property manager just to make sure that we would not be held responsible. About an hour after sending the message I got a call from someone looking to come and fix the issues! Great service - though we let him know there was no need to come on a Saturday.

Great house in need of some TLC
This house is in a beautiful and peaceful location with views of mountain vistas. However, we arrived to a house with dirty carpets and bugs all over the floors and in the corners. It was clear the home hadn't been cleaned at least since the last person stayed there, probably during ski season and we were there in June. There was a broken toilet and the shower heads were loose and flimsy. There were 5 towels in the whole house for 11 people and we had to wait for 24 hours for someone to come by and bring us more towels. The maintenance staff was responsive but I would have rather spent time with my family than fixing someone else's home. It would be a great place if the owners invested a little time and money fixing the place up.

Beautiful home but not as well equipped as we had expected
They advertise a wood stove but when we arrived there was a sign that renters couldn’t use it.The previous renters trash was piled up in the garage - only one large barrel and a small one trash over loaded and piled on the garage floor around it . Would have expected pick up between renters. Two live mice in the kitchen trash barrel .No can opener or vegetable peeler in the house . No ice trays and ice maker ran out of ice after 3 drinks . Half hour ride to nearest store...so inconvenient to pick up ice . Not enough towels and we had less people than the house sleeps and they were small and scratchy. Pillows were way too fat and all the same . Dried blood stain on one bottom sheet . And one mattress stiff as a board . Other than those things the home is spacious clean and beautiful ! (Some of these issues are the responsibility of the management company that clean and provide linen service not the owner. )

Family gathering
The house itself isn't bad, clean but just a bit outdated. There were alot of ants and earwigs outside as well as inside which was a little annoying. In our tour of the house we noted that the master bedroom footboard was broken. I contacted the front desk contact to Vacasa, who handles the rental, and sent pictures. As per the email response, I instructed to go into the basement and get a can of paint to place under that side for support for the meantime until they contact the owner. That was how that was dealt with for the next 5 days of our stay. No one ever came by to inspect it or do anything else. They also advertise Air Conditioning but it's only available upstairs and it never worked. We had 2 very hot days (Both Saturday 91 degrees and Sunday 93 degrees) and after emailing the property manager (Vacasa) and multiple emails & text messages they'd send someone but NO ONE EVER CAME. The house had the minimal amount of supplies (1 roll of paper towels & 3 garbage bags) for 5 days??? No cleaning products either. I've rented many homes in the area over the last 15 years and by far this was the most disappointing one, especially since the Property Manager never made an effort to resolve any issues during our stay. They did reimburse us less than 1 nites stay. I would never recommend this home to stay.
The house is in an amazing location with a view of the mountains and hiking trails in the back yard. House was certainly clean, a bit minimally furnished, but roomy with very comfortable beds and lots of sitting areas. The kitchen could use a new toaster, but had adequate equipment and nice appliances. Check in and check out were very easy and wifi and cable were excellent. Perfect for a large family stay!

perfect team house
This house was perfect for our team to stay at for a local race. spacious, clean and comfortable with great outdoor space and views. The deck is amazing even though it rained our last evening there so we could not make full use of it. Our only want was for a better grill for cooking our post race meat fest outside.
The house was in a great location, especially if you want to hike to the top of Mt. Ascutney: one trail to the top started near the end of the driveway. We hiked it and it was great. Close proximity to Brownsville, Windsor, and the Quechee/Woodstock area was also great. The house is a big comfortable space. If you like to cook, you might want to bring your own knives (and potholders). Some cleaning supplies were limited (just a few dishwasher pods), and there were no kitchen towels to speak of, but we improvised. Bring eye masks for sleeping, unless you're an early riser. The window blinds were in various states of disrepair, along with other small items around the house that need fixing (shower doors, kitchen faucet, two broken coffee pots). In all we were comfortable, but the space would benefit from some maintenance. The yard and outdoor spaces are very nice, and the views are incredible.
A few friends and I stayed at this property to ski at Okemo for the week. It’s a relatively easy and quick drive to the resort (~35 minutes). The property had plenty of space to house everyone, plenty of firewood for us, and the kitchen was large enough for all of us to cook. Would book again

Stay at Pace if Peace and Quiet
It lives up to its name! The house was fantastic and in a beautiful setting. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Place was clean and the gentleman we spoke with who shoveled the walk was very helpful. Only negatives- towels were small and did not see any extra blankets.

Spectacular views, and very spacious rooms.
Beautiful remote vacation home with hiking trails nearby, spacious rooms and some of the best Mountain View’s. The cleanliness exspecially the kitchen has to be the worst I ever seen, very obvious nothing was cleaned properly or inspected by anyone either.
There were eight adults in our group and the house was accommodating. There was plenty of room in the house for us to relax and spend time together. The location was out of town and a very quite setting. The shrubs and landscaping needed trimming to improve the view.
Clean, ease to access and no issues. Thank you for the timely communication and the ease of use. Beautiful spot.

Overall good, but could have been better
The house and location were great, however the photos on the listing for the views are not precise because we found a lot of weed grown in front of the windows that were restricting our view. The experience would have been much better if the weeds were taken care of and maintained. The photos showed us that there’ll be unrestricted views and unfortunately there was not. Also, a fire pit would have been good which was not there, that’ll help the visitors enjoy the outdoors more after sunset.
This was the 2nd time my group has stayed here. It was beautiful again and we had a great time! Highly recommended for family or friends to have a quiet secluded place to stay!

Beautiful, spacious and clean!
The size of the kitchen, the 2 different dining tables and living rooms made it perfect for our mix of teens and adults! We loved having the washer and dryer for the important show shirts and breeches!
We would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing!
This place is amazing! The yard goes as far as you can see; it was extremely spacious and the name is accurate. No neighbors around and we were ensured peace and quiet for our 3 nights there.
More than enough space for 7 people; the kitchen was furnished with everything we needed and we had a blast.
