Villa Tagini Timeless Elegance and Style, Brovello Carpugnino, Italy

Just five minutes by car from Lake Stresa and three minutes from the Golf des Îles Borromées, this elegant villa was built in 1888 and completely restored in 2023. It sleeps up to 7 people. Spread over 3 floors, the villa combines historic architecture with elements of stylish, modern design. This is the ideal holiday home for family or friends who want to escape into unspoiled nature but also enjoy “la dolce vita” of the Italian lakes.

On the ground floor, guests will find two living rooms. One is more formal with a large fireplace, a leather sofa and a big HD smart TV. The other adjacent room, a winter garden room, is full of sunlight and in addition to the sofa and armchairs, there is a laptop-friendly desk. The separate kitchen/dining room is a spectacular mix of old and new, with a large, stone fireplace, beamed wooden ceilings and modern kitchen units, with a contemporary, extendable dining table. The kitchen itself is well-equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, coffee machine and Italian moka. There is also a breakfast bar with stools for quick snacks.

The extensive garden of 3000 mt includes a dining area, chairs, well-kept lawns and lovely views of the surrounding hills and forest.

Sleeping
The villa has 4 unique, spacious bedrooms. Each is beautifully furnished with antique beds, wardrobes, sofas and armchairs. Two bedrooms have king-size double beds and balconies. The third bedroom has a double bed and balcony and the fourth bedroom has 2 single beds and a balcony.

Bathrooms
There are two charming bathrooms. One has a full bath with a shower. The second has a shower. Both are equipped with a bidet, basin and WC.
Extra: There is an additional WC on the mezzanine of the stairs.

Location
The villa is just 1 minute from the exit of the highway and 4 minutes from Stresa. There are some restaurants in the village but, for other amenities, guests should go to the town of Stresa down on the lake. Stresa has everything you need including several supermarkets and smaller grocery stores. The weekly market takes place on Friday mornings. Here you will find the freshest, best local ingredients to cook at home.

Stresa is a charming resort known for its villas and palazzi. Spend a day exploring the Borromean Islands with a hop-on-hop-off boat trip. The islands are famous for their beautiful gardens and historic villas.

If you want to get into the water, there are several beaches and lidos nearby. A walk north from Stresa, along the scenic Lungolago promenade (or a 15 minute drive from the villa) will take you to the lido at Carciano (fee charged) which has sunbeds and a sandy beach. The Lov Bar beach, next to Pallavicino Zoo (14 minutes) is a quiet spot next to the clear waters.

Away from the lake; there are some spectacular hiking routes around the valley and forest near the villa. For golf enthusiasts, the Golf Des Iles Borromées club is just a 5-minute drive.

Milan’s international Malpensa airport is a 50-minute drive.
