"We needed a place to stay for the practice rounds of the Open at St. Andrews and this idyllic town on the River Tay was perfect. The pictures are quite accurate, but remember, if you’re visiting in summer, that this house and nearly all of Scotland has no air conditioning. We bought two tower fans and left them for others who might need in order to sleep at night. The kitchen was complete, the lining room large, the TV worked well and the beds comfortable. "When we arrived at the hotel, there were no rooms even though we had a confirmation from Expedia. I’m currently working to have the fees refunded."

"The hotel is a bit far out from the shops so unless you’re reasonably fit , you might need a car. Our room was large an good sized en suite. The other problem I would point out is that, iagain if you’re struggling with walking ,or require the aid of a stick or other walking aid there’s a lot of stairs to reach some of the rooms. My husband did struggle with them. Ideal for a one night stop over."
