"The location was perfect for what we wanted to do - i.e. see Mt. Etna and visit Taormina. The grounds are landscaped beautifully as the pictures show and the cabin is as small as the pictures suggest. As long as you can use the front deck, as we did, you don't feel too cramped. The 'buffet' breakfast must be something lost in translation. There was a jar of cookies and a basket of packaged pastries but that was it. "Loved this hotel, jaw dropping views, our room was so beautiful, excellent sea views. Loved the salt pool, the deck in the ocean was fantastic. Great views everywhere & one of our favorite features was the ocean rock opening. Loved, recommend highly!"

"The hotel has an amazing setting, and the swimming pool in particular was really lovely. Although the décor is somewhat old-fashioned, everything was very well kept and maintained, which gave the hotel a certain charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, I was disappointed by the bathroom facilities, particularly the shower. For a hotel of this calibre, the shower was shockingly basic and felt very cheap. My friend, who is almost 83 years old, had to climb over a high-sided bathtub in order to take a shower. He specifically requested a room with a walk-in shower, but unfortunately none was available. I believe this is a significant health and safety concern, particularly for older guests, as climbing into and out of a high bathtub can present a genuine risk of falling. The breakfast was also disappointing and, in my view, below the standard I would expect from a hotel of this quality. Overall, the beautiful setting, pool and well-maintained surroundings are definite positives, but the bathroom facilities and breakfast need considerable improvement to match the standard expected of the hotel."

"This hotel is situated just on the edge of the main city on an unbelievably beautiful cliff in Taormina overlooking the beaches and bays below. Really breathtaking views - highly recommend splurging for the balcony. The pool was also very pretty, though we did not end up eating or drinking poolside. The bedrooms/bathrooms were pretty basic, but clean. Breakfast was not included, but at 22 euro, we did not partake. ***The one thing to note - the entrance to the hotel is at the bottom of an incredibly steep, roughly 250 foot-long hill. I'm talking 30-40 degree incline. There are stairs in the center of the road, but it's a hike. Like, we were out of breath every time we left the hotel. I couldn't recommend this hotel to anybody with mobility issues that is not planning on being driven from the hotel entrance every time they travel.*** But the views are unbeatable."
