"Lovely place to stay if you don't want overly posh and high price ... but good value for money. Breakfast could of had a second piece of bacon or sausage on but otherwise good choice. The staff were overly helpful when we asked. Not directly in town which again was good for less noise"

"Excellent large clean immaculate room with plenty of tea coffee biscuits etc on clean tray. Clean kettle and cups. Excellent large immaculate bathroom with towels and hand and shower liquid soaps. Bed and bedding clean and comfortable.we had a large dog who was welcomed in all public areas which enabled us to have a great holiday. Large selection of choices at breakfast and at the bar.***** ."

"Hotel is in a good location, ample parking. It's a stately building fairly well maintained, though the elevator access on floor 1 is hindered by the carpeting that restricts the door from opening. Yes you have to manually open the door to access the 50 + year old elevator and make sure it doesnt swallow any body part when the door closes, very cool. The food in the attached restaurant/ pub was good, though the service was hindered by only 1 person doing everything, hotel check in and restaurant duties."

"Perfect location, beautiful property with great amenities. Staff were polite and very helpful. Room was tastefully furnished. Shower was hot and powerful. Cleaning staff arrived promptly and did an excellent job. Only minor criticism was cooked breakfast was served whilst I was eating first course which meant I had to eat quickly or risk food being cold. That said, food was delicious. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again."

"An absolutely beautiful cottage in a quiet location outside Dolgellau. Handy for walking, and bird watching. The cottage is well equipped and sleeps 2 easily. "

"Breakfast very good, room nice size, good bed, nice bathroom. Friendly staff. Only problem, extractor fan from neighbouring restaurant, but nothing they can do about that. Keep window closed and the a/c works fine. All in all, nice place."

"The hotel is fairly basic, the rooms look a bit dated, there was a crack in my bath surround and some staining on the ceiling, but I believe the rooms are due for refurbishment shortly, so this is likely to improve. The parking is just over the road, and is free for as long as you're staying (you can come and go without registering again apparently). The hotel as a whole was clean and tidy. The food was good but a bit pricey in my opinion, but it is a touristy area, so base your expectations on that. The real stand-out was the staff, they are welcoming and clearly enjoy their jobs, and are a perfect example of Welsh hospitality. This is a good hotel as a base to explore Eryri"
