We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. "We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."

The hotel is only about a year old so the building and all the fittings and furniture are in as-new condition. The staff were all cheerful and a delight to work with. The food was good both breakfast and the evening meals. The location right on the foreshore is attractive with lovely views of the sunrise but it is well away from the centre of Torquay. When I arrived Google maps had the location 300 metres too close to the main part of Torquay so you need to check this before setting a route.
